Dishonest Dealings!!!

This was my first experience with this company and I will never shop here again.

I purchased paneer that was labeled $2.99. They charged me $14.99!! I do not live in the area and only checked my receipt when I got home....45 minutes away. So I called. The man knew ALL about this paneer. He didn't even need to go look at it to confirm what I said. He claimed "children" must have moved the signs around. At no point was he remotely apologetic for this grave inconvenience or that it looked like I was grossly overcharged. He claimed the sign was for peas.

Let me back up for a second....while in the store, I'd looked at all the paneer closely. There was no sign anywhere near this cheese stating $14.99. The $2.99 sign was perfectly placed under this cheese....no child's accident.

So back to the phone conversation. The man on the phone said I could come in and return the cheese. I said that's not really helpful since I live so far away and am not going to drive 45 minutes to return something I needed to use tonight. I offered, what I thought a reasonable middle ground: go 50/50 on the cheese. He could make a note and the next time I was in the area, I could stop by and they could refund my card $7.50. No dice.

In fact, he acted as though I was the ridiculous one for being upset at being misled by his store's signage, by being overcharged, and for offering solutions. Other companies would have checked the sign, apologized, and refunded the card for the difference.

In the end, I'm stuck with $15 cheese and a poor taste in my mouth at the disreputable business practices of this company.

I advise anyone reading this review to select another shop. Seriously. This is the worst customer experience...

I have been to this store before and had a decent experience, but today I had the worst experience. I went to pickup a Ganesh idol and I checked 3-4 idols for possible breakage or imperfections before picking up the one I wanted to take, an attendant called out to me from the cash register and asked if I needed help. Initially, I thought she asked me casually. But a few seconds later, as I finally decided the idol I wanted to take, she came next to me and, in a very curt manner, told me not to touch the idols. I told her I had selected the idol I was holding, but she again insisted not to touch the idols, and the manner in which she behaved was just too rude. I am a grownup, and I understand that if I break anything, I will pay for it, but if the items are not to be touched, a sign should be placed to indicate that. Finally, I just told her that I could just go to another store and get an idol, and she said that it is ok, you can go. It was really humiliating and not necessary. So I decided to quietly just walk out of the store. I would've happily understood if she would have asked politely without creating a scene out of it. It was totally unnecessary, if I am taking an idol to pray to at home, for my religious reasons I wanted to make sure it it was not broken or chipped. But if that was not acceptable, there were better ways to communicate that politely and nicely. If this is how customers are treated at this store, I am...

Frozen food turned out to be two years old! I bought frozen and packed food from here for two years, and had a terrible experience with the arrogant and ill-mannered owner of this place. I took home three packets of frozen bread (kaawan chapatti), and found that one of them was so old it had grown mold inside. The date marked on the inside of the package was two years back. There was no date marked on the outside of the pack. We took the package back to inform, called the manager aside to point out what we thought was a genuine mistake. The manager (he later said he was the owner) refused to acknowledge that this could be from his store. We did not buy from any other store, and did not store the receipts. We told him we are sure and he went on to insinuate that we had left it outside unfrozen and caused it to rot. When asked whether he was implying we were lying, he responded with a weird statement "You Indians always say am I lying am I lying, that we can't tell no?". This not only showed the scant disregard he had for his customer base, (he himself looked Indian) but also that such encounters were a regular event that he was accustomed to, and that we had got lucky with the products here...

Really disappointed with these Indian stores, I choose this market after some bad experiences with other Indian super markets. but even bhavani started doing started doing the cheap business trick like others. I bought this chikki which came under the bhavani market label After I reached home I tried it, It tasted horribly stale and smelly, texture like bubble gum and shocked there is no manufactured or expire dates. if you visit any Indian stores in US please buy only corporate packed stuffs don't buy any of these store products. I hope they will throw all the expired stuffs.

- One of the larger Indian grocery stores in Columbus (the other one is Patel brothers). - Best place to get large selection of masala mix packs from different brands like Priya, MTR, Aachi etc. - They have comparatively fresh vegetables/produce section (when you compare with Indian grocers store). - Patel brothers store is closed on Tuesdays but this is open (this statement is true during Pandemic). - Large parking space, but there are many potholes which are not repaired (the whole Festival Centre plaza is like this all the time).
