Dogtopia of Columbus-Downtown — Attraction in Columbus

Updated: We have been taking our pup to Dogtopia for a year and half now, and I cannot say enough amazing things about the staff there! Our doggo is a little high maintenance and reactive, but he is right at home at Dogtopia. We have used their daycare services 2-3 times a week for over a year, and have boarded our little guy a few times. Each time we have boarded him, the staff has taken such care to make sure they understand his specific needs, and he comes home happy and tired! Every time I bring our pup in, all staff in the lobby are SO excited to see him, and greet him with kisses, cuddles, and put him instantly at ease. At pick-up time they accommodate us by being sensitive to what dogs and people are in the lobby, and if needed, they will bring him out to me at a different exit, so he doesn't have to get all worked up when he leaves. I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Dogtopia: they have been a godsend to us and our sweet boy. Don't walk, RUN to Dogtopia Downtown and have a meet-and-greet for your pup: you won't regret it!

Incredible staff who clearly love dogs and look after them with such affection! They keep the pet parents informed of all events, any issues, and always check in during drop off to see if there are any special requests or needs from the parents. Their facility is clean, modern, and their commitment to quality care is excellent! Our dog has been attending daycare here for about a year now. What I appreciate about this place is that they have webcams so I can check in on my dog most hours of her stay so I know she is safe. They’re one of the only daycares in central Ohio that has extended drop-off/pick-up hours to accommodate my schedule at the medical center.

BUT… Every single time our dog attends daycare here she comes home reeking of urine. Sometimes the urine smell will linger for days and I have to take her for a bath at mutts & co. I check the webcams often throughout each of her sessions, and I have noticed that some of the employees here will leave urine on the floor for quite awhile before cleaning it up. I have numerous screenshots on my phone showing urine spots left uncleaned on the floor.

My pups absolutely love dogtopia! The staff here is awesome and they are always so helpful. We have been to a few other daycares in the columbus area and dogtopia is by far the most attentive to my pups and flexible! Sometimes I have crazy work hours and they have always been willing to work with me on an early drop off or late pick up. Plus, who doesn't love the fact that you can watch your pup playing during the day on the app?!

I have used them a few times for boarding and always feel so much better leaving my fur babies with people I know are taking great care of them. I especially appreciate that they treat weekends just like every other day in terms of letting the pups out to play all day. That's not the case with other places.
