Horrible horrible place. We paid over $80 for a special event. I was hesitant to go because of the negative things Iâve heard about this place, I went anyway because I felt safe with my husband. First off, I was 20 at the time and my husband was 25 so of course he was drinking and I was not. We stood on the balcony area, waiting for the main band to come out. My husband got a drink and said it was too watered down. He said itâs just coke. I took a very small sip to see and it was really watered down. So he went back to the bar and got it right. That was the only sip I had. Keep in mind, no place has EVER reacted the way that they did over a sip. In ohio itâs legal for a spouse to buy a drink for the underage spouse and itâs legal for them to let their spouse have a sip as long as theyâre around. We told them that when they made a big scene about it and I said I wasnât drinking, they could even do a breath test and they didnât care. We were humiliated and announced as underage drinking to every other staff person as we left the building. I told them the ohio laws and they said âwe donât care about the lawsâ. We then asked for our refund because we didnât even get to see the band, and they REFUSED! Didnât even give us back the entrance fees! Almost $100 wasted, because my husband let me take the smallest sip of his coke. If not for that whole experience, I would still rate this place low. Horrible staff, bad management and the security guards acted like it made their lives exciting to kick people out for stupid reasons. Itâs sad because some of the bands are really good. Donât go here, donât...
Read moreOk, So, we went here for a concert. Not being familiar with the area, we came early. You can call ahead for parking suggestions, and the person I spoke with was generally helpful. However, their website does NOT say that on days they have ANYTHING going on, their menu is quite abbreviated. And I mean really abbreviated. You can't even substitute your fries with a willing surcharge for onion rings, though onion rings are on the appetizer menu, available on event days. Ordered one each, beef and a turkey Reuben. Got both turkey. Fries were alright, nothing major. No slaw, nothing. Drinks. Beers on tap were mostly IPA. Whiskey sour was the smallest drink ever. Oh, btw, there is also NO happy hour pricing on a day with ANY event, so, don't come looking for any good deal. We had several rounds and our food, which was all I ate that day, and not much. The show was great, (Front 242), and we saw some of the band early, and bought a shirt beforehand. The bathrooms were clean and stocked, which was nice. I give it two stars for not being able to provide a dinner without notice. The guy on the phone the day ahead who suggested we eat there should've mentioned it. Also, very few dining tables. Not a fully-fledged diner. Concert hall, not sure where 800 people were supposed to fit. We ended up being fourth row back from the stage and got a good performance. If you need a place to sit, a stool, whatever, forget it. I saw a whole two in the concert area. I wish I could give it a 2.5, but it's 2 or 3 here, and it wasn't a 3...
Read moreToday, I played keys with SDenise at Skully's. The gig? Great. Other musicians? Great. Service from the venue? đđĄđĄ We walked in the door and one of the men in charge was reluctant to give me enough time to set up my equipment. We arrived an hour early, but we didn't get to soundcheck as planned because of the venue being slow to let anyone in/ set up. The sound man forgot to mic my amp. After spending 15 on drinks and 20 on merchandise, and 24 on tickets, on top of mom's tab, and playing for free, we were treated without any respect at all when we left. I went outside to load the car and a security officer named Chelsea locked us out of access to the car. Was very rude and hardass. I had over $1500 (and over 100 lb) worth of keyboard equipment that I needed to load up into the car. She didn't see I was a musician even though I was holding my synthesizer in my arm. Wth? Another security officer asked her to let me out, and we got out. When I took my next load out, Chelsea locked me out again. Meanwhile, a third officer with brown hair in a man bun rudely kicked my mother out of Skully's bar, as she was drinking her beer. Hustled her out, so Ihad to haphazardly pack up my stuff and leave. Other musicians complained too. Would not recommend. Feel gross giving Skully's advert with my live videos. Only positive was that one security officer, who was African American and wore a mohawk, helped me open the door and was professional in...
