I suppose with the influx of awful reviews in the last six month, this shouldn’t be a surprise.
I placed a mobile order for a grande cold brew with one stevia and a grande cold brew with light pumpkin cold foam+two pumps sugar free vanilla syrup at 8:38AM on Sunday, September 28th. I arrived at 8:44AM and entered the store. As I entered another, assuming mobile order— I watched her park and walk in then promptly out ahead of me, exited the store. I opted to go in as there was only one other car in the lot and three in the drive thru. As I entered, a barista called my name but only dropped one beverage then picked up actual glass cups and began working on a different order. I inquired about the rest of my mobile order as there were two items. She stated there was only one item on my ticket, (incorrect) then checked the iPad and confirmed there were two items. At this point, it was 8:47, and barista said please give me a moment. She continued making the other order, at which point, she failed to say “behind” and caused the another barista (2) to bump into her. Barista 2 was noticeably irritated and berated her loudly for the entire store to hear. The manager, Carl, chimed in on this from the drivethru stating the oversight could have caused the second barista to scald the (fourth) barista on the back with hot coffee. This inappropriate exchange carried on for more than :30. It was so uncomfortable that the other waiting customer turned and said to me, “this is awkward”. Barista one then placed stickers on the glass cups and set them down as which point the other customer stated he ordered them to go and barista one began to repour them in to disposable. At 8:54, 16 mins after ordering my mobile order, I told the barista I had to leave and would just come back for the second coffee, as I was teaching a fitness class two doors down at 9AM and needed to be arrive 5 mins early. She responded by saying, “it will just be another minute”. A second time, I stated, it was no issue, but I didn’t have time to wait. The second barista then, with tone, asked my name, and said “I can make it now, we’re very busy with mobile orders”, a THIRD time, and at this point becoming exasperated, I explained, I could not wait and would just come back. Carl then turned from the drivethru, and said it would just be a minute to which I explained for a fourth time, I could not wait longer and would return. Mind you, not a single additional person entered for a mobile order while I was in store, and only one additional person had entered to order at counter for a drip coffee and two Spindrifts. I returned at 11:05AM, barista 2 was working the counter, and very obviously said something I did not catch to Carl as he very loudly stated ,”I’ll handle this one”. He proceeded to make my second drink and half way through condescendingly told me that “mobile orders can take up to 15 mins to complete”. As attempted before, I explained, that barista 1 openly admitted she missed my second drink and I waited an additional ten mins after informing her. He then proceeded to tell me “mobile orders are made in the order they are printed”. It took him a total of less than one minute to make my second beverage which was arguably the most complicated of the two so there was no reason, in theory, this couldn’t have been done initially. Carl was incredibly condescending and dismissive. I went as far as to tell him this to which he continued, in a snarky and passive aggressive tone, to tell me “thank you, thank you, thank you”.I’m not under the impression the customer is always right. I understand businesses get busy, and people have tough days. The mobile app told me to arrive in 4-7 minutes. I arrived within the directed window at 6 mins, and patiently waited from placing to exiting for over 16 mins at which point my second beverage was not started, yet alone complete. To then be lectured by the manager that mobile orders can take up to 15 mins is absolutely absurd. The service I received was deplorable.

Read moreWithin 10 mins of sitting down and trying to get set up with my laptop and work pages. the manager named Karl im assuming the manager came up to me and stated If i didnt order I would have to leave. As promised I orderedmy drink as a mobile through my app raher than going up to the counter.
I could see if I was here for 30 mins or more but i felt as if i was getting profiled as someone who didnt have the money to pay for a drink. I havent came to this location in quite a few months and dont recognize any of the staff that was here previously. The old staff would have never approached guess like this.
Update: my order had already been placed 10 mins ago but I was in a zoom meeting with my work team. So i wasnt able to grab it right away, then Karl comes up to me again and said " i gave you 15 mins you have to leave if you did not order". I then told him Hes being unprofessional and i already told him i would order. He said i did say that , then i told him then why keep approaching me my order is already done and on the counter.
Karl got upset that he looked not good in front of everyone and still told me to leave. I was refunded my drink that i paid for 10 mins before this unprofessional encounter and called the Company line who also confirmed it was not okay for him to approah me again especially if my drink had been paid for.
Message to Karl - Treat people with kindess. Whatever battles you are fighting in life, dont bring it to work and take it out on other people that are pouring money into...
Read moreEdit: If I could give them negative stars I would 😩 - I went at 7 AM, was the first/only person in line but was told "just a minute" not once, but twice before I could order. Then it took them 15 minutes to make an espresso. I asked for a quad with an extra splash of milk. What I got was: a "long" shot with steamed milk.
I also asked if they would please STIR the sugar before adding the cold milk. They did not, so, the sugar was undissolved at the bottom. I didn't get out until nearly 7:30.
TLDR: 1/2 hour to get a wrong order that was poorly made and overpriced. (A little taste of Hell, basically - what a way to start your morning! 🤣)
Old review:
The prices are simply insane.
But, what really put the nail in the coffin for me is that they took away the ability for customers to put milk or cream in their own coffee and they never get it how I want it.
This Starbucks is not worse than others, in fact the employee was very nice, so I gave them two stars instead of one.
Their espresso is just OK, not particularly good but their prices are out of line for a product which isn't exceptional in any way other than the amounts of caffeine and sugar they addict...
