Donatos Pizza — Restaurant in Columbus

As someone who discovered late in life that gluten-free is much better for the joints of her body I have often despaired of eating my favorite foods. When I heard that Donatos had gluten-free crust I was hesitant. I am also allergic to tomatoes as well and most of the gluten-free pizzas available are pre-made. Enter Donatos...

Not only were they willing and able to make my pizza to order, they also put all my favorite toppings on it. BBQ sauce, chicken, bacon, onion, and banana peppers. OMG the yum has no limit! I can no longer count on both hands the number of times I have been told that my order was limited to one topping. One topping? Who can enjoy the plethora of flavor available to them in just ONE topping?! The staff is always courteous, no matter the location I call, and deliver right on time whether it is a pizza or a salad.

I am not able to order often as gluten-free is more expensive (not to mention four toppings) but when I can I do. Because of Donatos I can enjoy foods with my friends and coworkers when they order and no longer feel left out. I would highly recommend people call the stores to order. I also look forward to subs and garlic bread that are gluten-free as well.

I ate for my first time on 11-24-2023 at Donatos Clintonville, at 3489 N. High St., in the "Clintonville" neighborhood of Columbus.

I am a regular Donatos customer; I order food from Donatos several times each week. I usually order my food from Donatos Upper Arlington because I live about 300 feet from that location.

On the day after Thanksgiving, I had been free for a few hours and had decided to run several errands along N. High St. between West North Broadway and W. Henderson Rd. [a distance of about 1½ miles] and then attend an evening concert at Maple Grove United Methodist Church.

Before I had left home, I ordered a meatball sub at Donatos Clintonville and requested an appropriate pickup time. I then began my errands half an hour or so before that pickup time so that I would be able to arrive at Donatos Clintonville exactly when my food would be ready.

My meatball sub had been ready when I had arrived; it had been great to have been able to order my food in advance and therefore to not have to wait for fifteen minutes or so for my food to be ready.

Donatos Clintonville is smaller than most Donatos in terms of square feet but they definitely have the same delicious food that I have learned to expect at all locations of Donatos.

Called in to order, some girl answered and didn't realize they were on the phone with someone trying to place an order. Then she couldn't figure out what to do claiming she supposed to be talking to someone else and I suggested they place me on hold thinking that they must be new. I got hung up on. I called back and a guy took my order. I was never asked for my name only my phone number and I had to ask how much it was going to be and how long it was going to take instead of them telling me. Then I sent my husband to go pick it up 15 minutes later and they had no recollection of my order ever being placed. My husband was frustrated but went ahead and reordered. They got the price wrong prompting me to call them back to make sure my husband came home with the right stuff. Istead of two large orders of breadsticks we received two breadsticks.
