My husband used to peruse their shop, but at a previous location and about 28 years ago. Today, he introduced me to this treasure hunt of a gem. So much to find and such excellent prices! Give yourself plenty of time. You will need it. Not only for the thousands upon thousands of titles that you will find, but also for the extra time needed for some of the stacks that you will ultimately want to shift through. You may need an assistant by your side, as some of the stacks can be a bit precarious and the occasional avalanche is bound to happen. The owner is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Don't hesitate to ask questions. Be prepared! Cash or check payment, only. Looking forward to going back! EDIT: Still love stopping by, whenever I have the chance. They're still only taking cash/ check as payment. It's always a treat to browse and see what catches your fancy!

Been coming here forever to get lost in the stacks. Locally run, independent, friendly place with more books to scan than you have days in all your summers to come. Always able to find something new. So many different sections - something for everyone. Local treasure, books priced very well, a ton of valuable gems waiting to be brought home. Some living history. Cash or check only.

She was very helpful and kind and also will hold books for you for 2 weeks! Could get lost in this store for hours, but bring cash.

Since I've been living in a non-English speaking country for a few years, whenever I'm back in the US I like to visit bookstores, particularly used bookstores as browsing through French language books when you barely speak the language is really no fun at all... :-) This was a real find for me - so many books packed into not-quite-enough-space, which makes the whole process of finding books that much more interesting (and time consuming!). We were notified as soon as we entered the store that they were cash only, which was nice to know up front. There is a goodly selection on a huge range of topics - I focussed on sci-fi/fantasy, mystery and automotive and found something I'd been looking for in each of those areas. The prices were very reasonable and I came away very happy indeed! The icing on the top was the lovely person in the store, who had an adorable 6-month old puppy. They sell books online through Biblio and a few other places, so you can search them up. I added a link to their Biblio page on Google Maps, so hopefully that will...

Decent selection of books, assuming you can find them. It looks like a book hoarder's dream inside, which makes it hard to shop. A lot of stuff is pretty overpriced given the condition, and it is cash only. All transactions are done by hand on a paper sales slip, so checkout is really slow. Still, I found a near pristine paperback I had been looking for to complete a collection, and was happy to buy it. Until the cashier tried to send me out the door without the book after I'd just paid for, and then half shut it in the cash register because he didn't see it sitting right in front of him.

Let me reiterate that. He shut my pristine 17 YEAR OLD PAPERBACK in the register. Frankly, if I'd paid more for it I would have demanded my money back since he mangled the cover, but it wasn't worth the fight. It's easier to just never go back. Very unhappy. I really wouldn't recommend this store, which me sad given how hard it is to even find small...
