Terrace Bar — Restaurant in Columbus

We traveled to Columbus to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I had made reservations for 9:00 PM the evening of the 27th one week in advance. I received immediate confirmation via email and OpenTable. I had received updates and confirmations throughout the week up until 30 minutes of seating time to which it reminded us of our upcoming reservation. Our party arrived 15 minutes prior to reservation time to respect the schedule. The host informed us that she was unable to find our reservation. After confirming with email and OpenTable, she proceeded to let us know that Terrace was closed for the evening. It’s extremely frustrating that none of this was ever communicated to us as a guest. Not only was there no cancellation communicated, but we successfully reserved a table in advance that wasn’t even available...

Place has definitely gone downhill with the new owners. Cocktails are overpriced and sickeningly sweet. Place always seems empty and the bizzarely loud music is always at odds with whatever vibe they are trying to promote. Ends up getting pretty trashy on the rare days anybody shows up in the first place and the "pool" is actually just a lackluster water feature. Ultimately there's a million bars within three blocks of here that are way better and offer cohesive vibes. To the owners, if you want to actually develop something worthwhile don't just try to be an expensive standard hall when you are literally across the street from it. Blasting subpar music doesn't make me want to visit, it just makes me want to leave. Develop a real identity and price your drinks...

This place is laughably awful. We made a reservation and took about 5 minutes to be noticed at the door while 4-6 servers waited there arguing about something. Then another 10 minutes to be waited on. I ordered an old fashioned and was served a shot of whiskey in a plastic cup. No ice, no nothing. We thought it was a joke and asked our waitress and her response was "I don't know I am not a bartender." 2 drinks for $29.
