I actually made two trips to the place in the same dayâI had checked in in the morning and they re-checked me in when I arrived throwing my wait times/ schedules off for the day. I had to leave and return later in the evening and that was a little unexpected. I wish that this was clearer on the website/app.
But beyond that, I really disliked the way I was treated while I was there. I went in for a trim after two COVID years. I have naturally curly hair and use the curly hair method, so I donât detangle my hair dry at all. The guy who trimmed my hair wasnât mean to my face but I felt extremely rushed and like I didnât matter as a client there. He didnât even damp my hair before he cut he started and proceeded to comb through my curly hair dry and cut it dry. I had not worn my double moisturizer that morning keeping my haircut in mind (I had to leave when I did come in with damp/wet hair in the morning due to the online check-in confusion). I told him as much and he kept proceeding to loudly say how my hair was bad and I needed to condition it several times. It was frankly embarrassing in front of the other customers and I was barely sat in the chair for less than 5 minutes when men with short haircuts who arrived before me were still being serviced. Idk if he just didnât realize the needs of naturally curly hair or didnât care but i felt like s* leaving the salon and Iâll never go...

I'm not sure if my stylist was trying to hurry, or if he just wasn't as good at doing female hairstyles... But I'd recommend finding somewhere else to go if you have anything but a very short hairstyle.
Nobody was too mean, but people turned heads when the stylist was expressing his disapproval of my naturally curly hair for the cut I wanted (but I told him I usually straighten it. I just didn't then because they spray your hair with water when cutting anyway.) But yeah, that was embarrassing. I felt like I did something wrong by going there because of my hair.
I sent pictures to my friends and they couldn't believe I walked out of there with a haircut like that. Even when straightened it was awkward looking, so I had to get it fixed, losing much more length than I originally planned.
I feel like Great Clips is always a gamble, as your end result can totally depend on who you get as a stylist. I am not sure how different it would have been if I had gotten a different stylist, but I don't think I'd like to try my chances...
Read moreLike everything, men's haircut prices are up and I'm one of those guys that would rather just cut their own hair except that sometime the task just isn't in my things I want to do, and that's when I come to Great Clips! Every time I go I'm greeted with a smile and a welcome. I may or may not have a short wait as I don't usually make an appointment. Once in the chair, I feel it's all about međ. My stylist always asks what I like or is there anything in particular I might request. I'm pretty basic, but I'm also lucky to have an easy, full head with only two manageable cowlicks at the top rear of my head. Stylists always say they love cutting my hair, and I don't mind being flattered. After a light, but non distracting conversation, suddenly I realize we are done. A quick spin around and look in the mirror says we're good to go. Quick, professional, friendly, personal. - those words describe the folks at Great Clips; the every man's, and woman's, hair care professionals! I recommend this place whenever I get asked where to go for a...
