I was first introduced to The Broken Mug last year when a friend brought me some lunch from the cafe. The food is amazing! I still remember the first bite of the beautiful salad with big juicy chunks of fresh and flavorful chicken breast accompanied with beautiful and colorful fresh veggies drizzled in the most addictive green goddess dressing I have ever tasted. The food is not exotic, you will not find anything unusual on the menu, however, the quality and care that clearly goes into every dish is what puts The Broken Mug in a class by itself! They offer a variety of true comfort food made from the absolute freshest and finest ingredients. Every dish I have tried is special not only for the quality of the food but for the skill with which it is prepared, combining flavors and textures that make an ordinary salad or sandwich a very special treat. On mother's day weekend, my sweet husband brought me breakfast in bed from The Broken Mug - He could not have done better choosing a gift to make me feel loved and happy. We are truly fortunate to have this amazing locally owned cafe in our town. If you haven't tried The Broken Mug you are truly...
Read moreGot lunch from here today, ordered the lunch Trio includes a choice of daily soup, salad and a piece of homemade bread. Beef & Vegetable soup was a little on the greasy side, mind me I had never had this type of soup and I understand beef is greasy. Had an OK flavor. Salad was greens with some tomatoes and red bell peppers cut on top as well, with Italian dressing of my choice. Good. Croutons were amazing, they seem homemade. Bread that was included was also very good especially with the soup. I'm not sure what type of bread it is but it reminded me somewhat of French bread. Ordered a smoothie and asked for a recommendation, I got the "Greens and added strawberry flavor" tasted quite minty, wasn't for me. Overall I did enjoy my lunch and will be back again to try something...

The food was good, BUT we waited 50 minutes after we ordered to get our food. Poor kids were really hungry. It wasn't all that busy either in the establishment. I saw 3 people in back cooking and about 4 teenagers standing around up front talking and taking orders (here and there), or wiping off tables. I would have given them a 4 had they told me they were understaffed or something. No apologies, nothing. Just a thanks. Sorry Broken Mug, but it...
