I have attended several events over the years at The Ohio State University Faculty Club. A few of those events have been OSU-related receptions; most of those events have been lectures or panel discussions sponsored by the OSU Center for the Study of Religion.
I attended my first-ever event on the second floor of The Ohio State University Faculty Club and learned two important things.
• The nearest bathrooms to the second floor are down a flight of stairs and are at the opposite end of the first-floor hallway; in addition, the fancy script writing identifying those bathrooms at the end of the hallway is difficult to read at first.

In addition, there is a boundary between two sections of flooring on the upper landing that is far more visible than the edges of the steps but is not actually a step down.
There is a cute little elevator between the first floor and the second floor; however, if you choose to use the steps instead of the elevator, I recommend caution. An exacerbating factor that impacts the visibility of the steps is that the lighting level in that area is extremely low [particularly when there is little or no daylight].
Interestingly, the edges of the two or three steps between the first-floor hallway and the front entrance [in an equally-dark area] are clearly marked with "anti-slip tape" that has a...

However, you will not be treated with preference. You will be treated as just some other customer. Their catering director is condescending and only willing to do the bare minimum. Expect little in the way of customer service or preferential treatment. Compared with other wedding vendors who will bend over backwards to make your special day a perfect one, don't expect The Faculty Club at OSU to give you the time of day. Wedding...

My memories of working here during the early 80's bring huge smiles and conjur up stories that make you laugh and say I was fortunate to have worked here and with people who later on in my life had a profound effect on me. Football Saturdays, weddings, meeting distinguished members and guests. Meeting Woody Hayes. Thank you, FC, and continued blessings and success. Oh, and this was the beginning of my epicurean enthusiasm....
