"Heirloom was started in the summer of 2011 by John and Kimberly Skaggs. It's more than just the name of our café. It's a promise to our guests that we stand behind our mission to provide tasty, healthful, and seasonal food that tells a story. It means we believe in tradition, “farm to table,” supporting local businesses, and being the best environmental stewards we can be. It means that we want to provide a welcoming dining experience and do what we can to make your day a little brighter.
We uphold our mission in many ways: We source most of our products from Ohio farmers and businesses, and we have created relationships with many of the people we source from. We make nearly all of our food in-house, and everything from salad dressing to granola to bizaches are made right in our kitchen. While eating, we both said “I’m gonna be hungry shortly after this” so then we got a dessert to split. The food was tasty but nothing to write home about. I would definitely try Heirloom again but I’m not rushing out of my way...
Read moreCompared to the rest of on campus dining this is basically a Michelin star restaurant. It's more or less and average cafe, but with a very charming atmosphere. Being located in the Wex makes it a great place to relax and study too.
The only warning I have is that they don't take Dining Dollars and can get a little pricey, so some students may find it a...
