It's a beautiful green for sure, the center and signature space of OSU's campus. It's well-tended and patronized by many students for reading and other activities. Not many benches or places to sit, however, so many lay on the grass. Most people are coming and going on their way to somewhere. Student groups do occasionally set up shop for one reason or another, and there is a risk you could encounter some loud or unsavory political or religious groups and orators who have managed to get space for the day, or you might run into roaming missionaries and other proselytizers. Still, it's an excellent commons and a great place to go for a walk in the park.
