My youngest child and I attended the presentation by Neil DeGrasse Tyson. I am disabled and needed a medical bag, however, my kid had a bag that was 8x8x1". We were unable to enter with the bag. A bag must be smaller than 8x5x1". We had to return to our vehicle to place their bag. I do not recall seeing anything about a bag size limit until we were at the doors. We returned and were unseated when the presentation began. We thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. The seats were comfortable and quite roomy considering the venue. I was extremely tired from the additional exercise, but the show helped be forget. I do not hold a grudge against the staff, but it seems that a simple inspection of the bags would have been sufficient. Although, rules are rules and it was not the person at the door's fault, but it still sucked. If it were just the Tyson show, I'd easily give 5 stars, but the bag snafu took it down a few notches. If you are going to have those kinds of limitations, ensure the information is available when you purchase...
Read moreI loved see Neil deGrasse Tyson on the 17th of October. I parked in the garage nearest to thr Mershon. It's not a bad walk, but go early to get a place to park. If you get seats at the Mershon and have trouble with steps you'll need to pay that extra for seats close to the stage. I picked cheaper seats not knowing that not only are the further away which I knew, the the steps are steep to walk up to those seats. It was hard for me as I have arthritis and am recovering from surgery I had in June. I ordered my tickets in April. The sound is wonderful ever further away. Mershon was built to carry sound very well. I highly recommend you...

This was a mostly older crowd that needed this type of assistance. When we entered the venue, security was a little much (I've had an easier time with TSA). A woman ahead of me was asked if she "really" needed her cane and I was told my handbag, which only held my wallet and keys was too big and I would have to take it back to my car (when I explained that I hadn't driven, they did search the bag and tie a big blue ribbon on it before I was allowed entry). 0verall I had...
