My partner and I ate lunch at Vallarta, and based on our experience, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place for a great meal! We found this place based on reviews from a Facebook Foodies Group and are glad we made the drive. At checkout, we met the owner, who was kind and showed us pictures his son (in the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Benning) sent him. Please support Vallarta, and other local establishments like it, to encourage the entrepreneur spirit to thrive.
My partner ordered the Spinach Fajitas with rice and beans. The beans were money, perfectly seasoned and delicious. The fajita blend was fabulous! He would order this tasty blend of steak, onions, mushrooms and spinach again (and I’d help him eat it).
I ordered beef taquitos with guacamole and beans on the side. Again with those yummy beans! The taquitos were perfect when I popped a little guac and a little beans on top with each bite. Their guacamole is wonderfully creamy, so I ordered an extra serving. The tableside pico de gallo with chips can’t be beat. Super flavorful and fresh. Don’t miss the chance to try Vallarta. We’re definitely coming back for more of their delicious food at fair prices, served by super kind people just trying to make a living. You...
Read moreCame here after my brothers Basic Training graduation with the Army. We are from Oklahoma city. Food was ok. But, Maybe would have tasted better if the owner actually gave us what we ordered. I got the enchiladas and asked for everything on the side and was told they wouldnt do it. My mom ordered tacos and the owner came back with the wrong food and legit said "I'm sorry, I misunderstood and and put these in instead of your tacos that's why you didn't get your side" she then proceeded to put the plate down and said "you can just eat this" My mom is too nice to make a scene. To top it all off, the husband (owners are wife and husband or at least seemed like the owners)would not stop staring us down. The entire meal, continued to stare at us from different angles and stand close to us with his back turned (I assume to listen to what we were saying) The waitress seemed like she was trying but the 2 owners were just horrible to us. And made the...
Read moreI was cautious with my order because my expectations were low. I knew this wasn't going to be the real Mexican food of my experience in the American southwest. The food pretty much live down to my expectations. I ordered a tamale and a chicken enchilada which are pretty difficult to mess up. The enchilada had only a little bit of sauce on it which made it difficult to judge and the chicken inside it was basically boiled and bland. The tamale was 95% masa and had little flavor.. The refried beans were very good - very fresh and creamy. The rice was yellow like chicken flavored rice from a box. It had almost no flavor. The chips and salsa were good - both freshly made with the chips warmed. My son ordered the chimichangas which were covered in a white cream sauce. What is that? Seriously? We were with my other son who just graduated training at the top of his class so we did not let the quality of that food spoil...
