Close to where I had to make a top during work hours. Small inside maybe seats 10-12 but they also have steel umbrella tables on the sidewalk. I only had chili and fries. The chili was good, big chunks of beef, tomato, and celery all seasoned to my liking. The fries were DELICIOUS! I'm guessing they were fried in old heavy oil. They were good and crunchy outside, yummy greasy inside, and HOT. Three guys behind the counter, they were busy as expected as it was lunchtime. Atmosphere is dark and dirty, it would've helped if the guy behind the counter would've said "Hello" or "Good Morning" or similar greeting. I stood at the counter for a minute or so (I could see they were all busy), then without looking at me he said "Ready when you are". I ordered a small chili and small order of fries. He said "$7.50" (no "please"). I gave him the money. No "Thank you, it'll just be a minute" or anything along those lines. About a minute later, I was still standing at the counter, I didn't know if I should take a seat and wait or not. I'm sure he could see by my uniform that I was not local and I'm sure they know all their regular customers. I felt awkward just standing there, not sure what to do. Next I heard him say "small chili, and fries" he handed my my bag and off I walked, still without any acknowledgement of my business. It could be a nice little place but needs some sprucing up and decent lighting.

We love Village Coney! We come all the time for a great lunch. The prices are great, the staff is incredibly friendly and everything tastes delicious. The Coney sauce is super flavorful, the tots & onion rings are a must! I finally tried the fried bologna sandwich and it reminded me of the ones my dad made me as a kid, soooo good! Great place all around to drop by for lunch, worth the wait in line if you come during the lunch hour on the weekdays!

This is a very basic place with Intimate service and a very large menu compared to what I saw on the app. They have three small tables inside and 4 tables with umbrellas outside. The Chicago dog was good and the fries were hot. The pricing is very very affordable. The guys behind the counter are no conversationalists.

I give this place three stars because of the following reasons. Hate to say it music was to loud so when I first placed my order the fella couldn't hear me properly and had my order wrong so I told him again no mustard I had to shout and he got a little short and snippy the rest of the time figuring I was being rude. No biggie, just turn the music down so people don't have to yell. Hot dog bun was soggy, yes I know they are steamed and loved steamed buns but these were just soggy, hot dog was cold, could be because of lunch just ending, and the chili was burnt, again bottom of the bin I nthe hot table, I know how that goes. Weird choice of French fries to serve. They are the seasoned rally type fries, and although good, they clash with the hotdog itself.

But I did go back in for a third dog after my first 2 because I was still hungry and much better experience, guy had called down and all of number 2 had been fixed including a fresh pot of sauce which tasted way better.

I travel into that area often and different times of the day and week so I will try it again to give it another days chance. So I recommend stopping if I nthe neighborhood? Yes it is worth the stop and prices are right on for what your getting, especially...

I have eating at the coney multiple times and the food and service have always been exceptional! Nick and John are always friendly, fast and efficient! The food has always been top notch , fresh, hot and delicious! This restaurant is great for any budget! They always have daily specials for under $10. But if you wanna spend more you won't be disappointed you'll always leave with an amazing meal. This place is so much more then an amazing coney, they have multiple burger options, salads, gyros, chicken sandwiches and it keeps on going! You just can't go wrong at Village Coney! I have told so many people about this place and never have they been disappointed! If you wanna experience great guys and great food you definitely need to check out...
