I am very disappointed with this place, I been supporting them from day one and giving my honest feedback to help improve the cuisine. I remember when they first opened I tried the over priced duck and it was very salty, then I told the cook that it was like licking a salt block. They acknowledged and corrected the issue until more people came to work for them. I go to Atlanta a lot and the other establishment in Opelika, AL for roasted duck. The hype is not all there when compared to other authentic Chinese BBQ. The two meat plate for example if bought at a good normal Chinese bbq place like Mings BBQ for example comes with rice, two proteins (my choice roasted duck/crispy pork), some greens, sauce, and a small cup of soup to help wash down the hearty meal. This place didnāt have that at first they will overload you with rice and still do with few pieces of bok choi and no soup, then charge you over $22. Iāve done my research with establishments with a 1.5 hour radius and the average price for the same exact meal is $18 plus or minus a dollar depending of location. I also had the crispy pork which is always cold and feels like you are eating lard as they donāt heat it up. The pork char-sew is really good, but again meats are cold when served.
I went in to go get a whole duck as my parents from out of town wanted to try and the loud mouth lady told me $43 and some change I was about to pass out as the is doubled the price of what I normally pay. The place I normally go too I can get one and chopped for $29 depending on month in will fluctuate a few dollars. As I told her no thank you after I saw the price she quickly flipped out on me and people looked at me like I was crazy. I told her it was overpriced and I wasnāt charge this before when I bought one few months ago, she claimed it was taxes so I politely walked away as she continued to say things loud in Cantonese which Iām sure is offensive language that was unnecessary. I tried to resolve at lowest level but nothing was done. My personal opinion if you have time just take the drive up to Atlanta for some real authentic fare prices on Chinese bbq off Jimmy Carter exit 99 or off Buford Hwy it will not disappoint you or your family. The service and prices at this location...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the Mongolian Chicken lunch special with fried rice. It was very delicious however, the egg drop soup was greasy and tasteless! The egg rolls were like mush on the inside. I expected a good egg roll but I couldn't eat it at all!
Edit Will no it return. I went back during dinner hours and was overcharged for my food. When I went back to get it fixed they act like they were doing me a favor by giving me one large fried rice when I ordered two meals that comes with rice anyways. The lady charged me for 2 additional small fried rice. He gave me another large rice only to get home to see it was plain white rice. I assume the lady thought it was our first time and kept saying egg rolls are on the house! They should be removed from the menu as they are disgustingly mushy on the inside looks like fried dehydrated...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLiterally came here expecting a tasty delightful half duck. However, to my surprise I was served a cold duck with warm rice. The fact that the duck is displayed for everyone to see, there should be more care to make sure the duck stays at temp. Now I have to throw away 21 dollars worth of food cause I donāt know how long that duck was sitting there by the temp check I did upon arriving home only 5 min away the duck was a whopping 81.3 degrees internal temp. That is unsatisfactory and a safety hazard literally can get someone sick with that. I would advise this place either ensure they are properly keeping food items to a satisfactory temp , I.E Check your heat lamps are working properly. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone and I pray for everyone else sake that no gets sick...
