I have eaten here for the last 2 years when it was 100% vegan. One day a few weeks ago I go in to order to find out it was a completely different restaurant. THEY COMPLETELY CHANGED OVERNIGHT. I was a frequent customer ordering MANY times a month. Their soy protein was one of a kind and my absolute favorite vegan food. I have no idea where to even buy this product so I can't even purchase it myself. There was no warning about this change when I had gone in 1.5 weeks prior to their business change. Nothing. I literally went home and cried because my favorite restaurant was gone and I was craving it so badly. None of the previous vegan dishes even appear to be an option any longer (according to the new menu posted). I can't express enough how upset I am with how this change occurred and the lack of keeping some options on the new menu. If you're going to add real meat to the menu, that is okay, but please at least keep a few of the popular vegan options, at minimum. There should have been a transition with the menu and warning to customers about this change. This was a very poor business move. And not to mention, they were replying to positive vegan comments only 1-2 months ago with NO mention of the change they were planning. Deceiving and just wrong. I support trying to improve your business and reach more customers (non-vegans), but don't throw out your years worth of dedicated customers in the process. That is POOOR business.
Not only did I a vegan love this restaurant, my bf, friends and family who were NOT vegan absolutely loved it as well. My brother was coming up to visit me, from out of state, solely for the purpose of purchasing large quantities of their vegan food to take home. He is completely crushed by the news of the business change. That is how amazing the food was here.
Food and service was more than 5 stars before this inconvenience. My fellow vegans and I beg that some of the old menu be incorporated back in. Please please please add back in a vegan menu. The whole restaurant doesn't need to be vegan, but there really should be a vegan menu...
Read moreI’m vegan. And while it makes me happy to see restaurants with vegan options, it makes me elated to have an Asian restaurant, local to the Hilliard area, that’s 100% vegan!
When I order food, I don’t have to worry about cross-contamination, or the waitstaff forgetting to mark off “vegan” on the tag, or the restaurant not understanding what vegan is. I just order, whatever I want, and it comes out vegan.
You can eat in or take-out. Plenty of comfortable seating, plenty of parking. Easy to find because it’s in the same shopping center as the Kroger on Roberts Road.
The food is incredible, made fresh, comes out hot, and I’ve never had an issue with a mistake on an order. Very efficient service.
Two televisions provide a little visual distraction if you’re into that, and there’s generally music playing. I like the atmosphere.
Let’s address the elephant in the room: people associate “vegan” with salads, alfalfa sprouts and lentils. The cool thing is, this is an Asian restaurant with standard Asian fare. They have two types of protein: tofu and a soy based protein, and they mix it up with different cooking methods and preparations. Lots of different sauces. Lots of different veggies. A few types of rice. And pages of choices.
Don’t let the “vegan” name fool you: it’s good food and you’ll like it.
Take a friend and share, that way you can try different things.
I love the pineapple fried rice, and the spring rolls.
Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants in Columbus, and I hope you...
Read moreI've been supporting this business since they've opened. I posted a review 4 years ago but I wanted to re-do it to really say how much I love this place. Everything I've had here is absolutely delicious. I've tried a ton from the menu over the years. In the pictures are the summer rolls, pineapple friend rice, and the last picture is of the seitan skewer. The skewers are one of my favorites from Ye's. The pineapple friend rice are probably a new favorite of mine! I highly recommended this restaurant. Tons of vegan, vegetarian, and even gluten-free options here! Staff is also always friendly, so another win! Try this place, you won't regret it.
Update: I will leave my previous review but I'm very disappointed in this restaurant.. Their vegan food was great and they switched to serving meat and seafood which is a strange business move. People raved about this place, including myself. Sad that they decided to do this. They were one of my favorite vegan/vegetarian restaurants in Columbus for YEARS. If they wanted to go this route, they should have just rebranded everything entirely. Those who are veg or have allergies are no longer safe to eat here without worries of...
