Golden Rice Bowl — Restaurant in Commerce City

I used to love this place when I was younger but my recent trip to this location had me questioning my younger self. When you walk in the food presentation looks all good and yummy. I went early, minutes after it opened so the place looked clean. My boyfriend and I ordered our food and decided to eat there. They also have all their food products out in the open and on tables which just makes the whole place look messy. (Should also add there was a bag of rice right by the bathroom entrance which should say something since that led to my boyfriend saying he was getting fed bathroom rice). All the tables were sadly dirty with food on them. We sat in the corner on the least dirty table. He then pointed out how dirty and food stained the restaurants walls were, which was pretty disturbing. Next was the food, it was extremely greasy which you could taste. As much as I wanted the food to be good it was really bad that we barely took any bites and disappointingly threw the rest away. Would not recommend and honestly hope that the restaurant cleans up both inside...

I have been coming here for 30 years through all of the different owners but tonight was the last time I will ever go. I went in and ordered one scoop of rice and one scoop of sweet and sour chicken when I got to the cashier he opened the box and said is this a double I said no I ordered 1 portion that is how much the guy gave me he was kind of rude about it but oh well he could have taken some out if it were an issue he did not but the kicker was he was not going to give me sweet and sour sauce just the dry chicken pieces I asked for the sweet and sour sauce with the sweet and sour chicken and he proceeded to charge me for the sauce I said why would I pay for the sauce that is literally in the name of the entree? He said you are already getting extra chicken I was like I didn't ask for anything extra he got so rude with me I just left the food I just can't believe that they would charge extra for something that you need to make it what it is. Lost a 30 year customer over some cheap...

We just moved to the area and we’re looking for quality Chinese and I found this place okay yes it does look run down but I never judge a book by the cover ... where do I begin I walk in to see the women rolling egg rolls at the table used for customers do dine in no gloves on and her child laughing and playing all around the food ... GROSS , I’m watching her prepare orders taking money and going back to roll egg rolls with her bare hands the food was not good at all I can tell before even ordering nothing is made fresh it’s all been under the heat lamp for lord knows how long this place is so dusty I had the worse allergy attack just standing in line . I’m from where dollar scoops are run down but clean and also fresh food I’ll drive a few extra miles before I even think about stopping here...
