Los Gallitos — Restaurant in Commerce City

I normally don’t post reviews bad or good since I like to remain private, but I’d like to share my experience today. Went there because we were craving tacos but normally don’t come here. The food is good but the place is extremely dirty. My husband and I ordered two plates of tacos and we waited for about 30 minutes for our food. I didn’t mind because it was a nice day and I was outside waiting at a table while my husband was inside waiting for our order. The next thing I know is that my husband is fighting with the girl behind the counter over tiny plastic cups to put salsa in from their salsa bar. She had only given him one and said that was all that was allowed (for two plates of tacos). He told her that was ridiculous and that other patrons in the restaurant were given more. She had said that was because they were to go orders. He then said that he was going to report her to her manager (who wasn’t there). My thought was what difference did that make. I’m sure the to go orders had the same tacos as we did. As we were eating our food outside, the girl behind the counter came out and started to record my husband with her phone. He said that’s fine you can record me and she then went back inside. Then when we were done eating and got up to leave she comes running outside with the phone and said she was calling the police on him. She told him that he was harassing her. So not certain of the understanding of saying yes to smother a burrito. We order our food and get asked smothered for our Chile relleno burrito we say yes, they come out with just a burrito no Chile. The first girl looks at us as if we have no clue what we're talking about. Then the original girl to take our order comes and says you ordered a Chile relleno burrito, I reply yes but wanted it smothered. She says ok, and goes back smothers the burrito comes back and says because I didn't HEAR you correctly I need to charge you more to have it smothered. First off I said yes to being smothered so that's not my fault, I offer to pay with my card and they cannot accept it because they do not take cards for purchases under $2.50 ( no sign explaining this). While visiting Colorado, we stopped by this location for a meal. The ordering process was quick and efficient, which we appreciated. However, after our food was brought out, we noticed that part of the order was missing. After waiting approximately 20 minutes, we inquired about the missing items.

Rather than checking the order, a staff member insisted we had already received everything and even suggested my father had discarded the plates—implying we were attempting to receive additional food unfairly. She eventually came to our table, counted the items, and realized the mistake. Unfortunately, there was no apology or acknowledgment of the error.
