Had Lil Papi's pop up in TikTok showing a gentleman eating a Primo Italiano and it looked amazing. So of course, we had to take the trek south to find the place.
The business is farely small but not cramped by any means and there are a couple tables outside to eat. There are over forty different hot and cold sandwiches to choose from. Of course I got the #30 - Primo Italiano (pictured as just half sandwich, I ate first half before the picture), she got the #55 - Lil Havana & some Baklava. The sandwiches are FIRE and on point. Fresh, hot, sloppy, yet easy to handle and the innards weren't falling out. She gave the Baklava a 3 out of 5 and we both are giving 5 out of 5 with the sandwiches. The meats all appear fresh slices and the bread isn't just run of the mill sub rolls from your local grocery store. They are to have been made next door. I cannot find any negatives with our experience. The staff is friendly and the owner was very friendly and helpful.
So if you're into a great, fresh and tasty international sandwich, hit this place up. Also a note to the owner, you should open a shop up north in the Winston Salem area!!! I think you'd definitely get...
Read moreI came because I had heard some good reviews but was not impressed. This place really needs to work on their customer service skills. There were two girls behind the counter when I walked in and neither said anything as I was the only person there ordering. No "hello" or "welcome" or anything. They both were in a daze and appeared to not want to be working. As this was my first visit, I had a few questions and the one girl was like, "it says it up there" as she pointed to the menu. Okay. Well I had another question about a certain sandwich and again she was like, "there's a picture of it up there", pointing to the same wall. It was kind of rude. I ended up ordering an arepa and it looked nothing like the photo that was on the wall. Chicken was cold and mushy, as though it had been in the fridge all day and then put in a blender with cilantro. It tasted like chicken salad. I'm giving two stars because at least the price wasn't bad, but I don't think I will want to come back. I work in Charlotte and the quality is maybe standard for Concord, but I have eaten way better arepas in Charlotte and without having to deal with...
Read moreHOLY. SMOKES. This gem is an absolute MUST try!!! My husband had the banh mi burger and I tried the cancun pork quesadilla, sharing a side of the corn salad. We both thought the other got the better food - I couldn't get over the flavor profile of the burger and he couldn't stop indulging in my quesadilla. Our son had a hot dog but didn't like it (hubs and I tried it - it's cooked perfectly and they cut it a certain way so it's easier for kids to eat) and the gent took the time to go through the menu options with my kiddo. Cue their grilled chicken and cheese quesadilla (chicken on the side because kiddo's picky), and by the gods of food, this was INSANELY good, with a beautiful balance of seasoning on the chicken. The corn salad was a texture sensory delight with chickpeas, roasted sunflower and pumpkin seeds mixed in, all around flavorful and simply delicious. We can't wait to come back - their menu is expansive and really does cover all the international favorites! Glad...
