Min's Kitchen — Restaurant in Concord

Min's is a American cuisine family diner style restaurant located in a small shopping center off of Clayton Rd. When I first entered the restaurant for lunch it looked a typical diner. Plenty of happy customers of various ages all around. We sat ourselves down in a booth and were quickly greeted by our server who's name I don't remember. She asked us if we knew what we wanted to drink. I asked for a water and my friend asked for a Dr. Pepper. After waiting about five minutes she brought back two waters. No soda. My friend politely asked if he could have the soda he asked for. She apologized and asked if we wanted to order.

I ordered the Chicken burgers and added bacon. My friend ordered the chicken salad sandwich melt.

After ordering it took about 5 more minutes to get the soda to our table. Which was a glass of ice and a can of the soda. (Yes! A can, no free refills)

About five minutes later we received our food and were asked if we needed anything else. I replied yes and asked for a side of Bar-b-que sauce (which I never got).

OK.. So now we have our food and the only thing I can say about the chicken burger that was good was the avocado and the bacon.... That I had added. The burger would have been better had it not been a chicken breast and not a dry 1/8th inch thick processed chicken patty. On top of that it had next to no flavor.

A few bites in I was still waiting for the server to return with the sauce I asked for. She never came back. Not once. After chocking down the so called burger I put it down before I was halfway done. Upset with the lack of flavor and the lack of service. Without waiting a minute longer I put my money on the table.. A guess of how much it should have cost and left....never seeing the server return and Never to return again. Worst service I've had anywhere in years.

Please... Don't spend money here unless you're too lazy to make a...

I usually don’t make any comment but I have to today. There’s a sign saying “sit yourself”, so we just walked in and there’s no clean tables at that time. Then a waitress came really quick and cleaned our table so we could sit down. Then we waited for any waiter and waitress 10 mins to place an order of 4 breakfasts, then waited another 45 mins but still no breakfast serve. Also, during that 45 mins, no one check on us or let us know how much longer for the breakfasts. Then we finally asked the waitress to check out order, guess what, she told us that our orders should be done in another 10 mins. I wonder how long does scramble eggs and French toasts to be made. So we left. They really need to hire more waiters or waitresses for this kind of capacity. I just feel bad for the only waitress there, she had to clean the table, pick up all the dishes, and take orders by herself. No wonder she didn’t have time to check on our orders. I hope her boss...

I've never experienced very good service at Min's but the food has always been really good. Today they were not nearly as packed as they usually are and yet the service was almost the worst I've experienced in a restaurant. We waited 10 minutes for someone to bring us menus, at least another 10 minutes to take the order (they are not busy) and forever to get our food. When we finally received our food it wasn't even warm. They only brought 1/2 my Mother's food then took the orders at 2 other tables then finally brought the rest of her breakfast. Dropped the plates on the table and took off. Never asked if we needed anything, never came back to the table, no coffee warm ups. We won't...
