Not sure what all the hype is about this place. My wife and I had mixed emotions regarding the food. I had the Service Station Steak (their version of a cheese steak). For me the meat could of been cooked more and the bun toasted. The baugette was maybe 6 inches long. It was okay at best. The sandwich was $17, my side of a bag of Kettle chips $3. My wife had the Hillcrest (Chicken Salad sandwich with a side of salad. She said it was good. Sge had water, I had sweet tea, and the bill came to $35. So, you've been warned, it is very pricey. Because my wife and I were split on the food, that is why the 3 rating on the food. Now the service was very friendly, resulting in a 5 rating on Service. Now atmosphere is a difficult one. The location is prime real estate in downtown Concord. Seating is limited inside (a couple tables & some seating at the window counter). Seating outside is picnic tables under an overhang. They did a nice job with the outside. However, weather can have an effect on your meal. There just happened to be a hard downpour which caused some people to move to another picnic table. Now, when the weather turns chilly and then cold, make sure you dress appropriately or hope indoor seating is available. I regret not taking pictures. Even though, it appears to be a popular spot with the locals. So, go try it out for yourself. This just wasn't my...
ย ย ย Read moreGreat little sandwich shop in the heart of downtown Concord. This place was a former gas station, which at first thought would seem odd. But, itโs actually quite a nice setup with ample outside seating and a smaller inside seating area. My wife and I went there this afternoon and sat outside as the combination of a nice day, shaded seating, and the large fans they have outside was perfect for a relaxing lunch. Not to mention the great music they had playing.
We got the โLa Famigliaโ and โThe Big Schlepperโ sandwiches, along with the potato salad. Everything tasted awesome and was quite fresh. Additionally service was excellent with helpful and polite staff.
I was almost hesitant to write this review as I donโt want to see this place get super packed so itโs hard to go. But, this little local gem deserves credit for what they have going on. Iโd definitely recommend Pump Social, especially if the weather is great, for...
ย ย ย Read moreWow! As I was leaving work for lunch, I passed right by Pump Social. I saw the crowd and decided to pullover and checkout their menu. I circled back to try them out, and I am so glad I did. What a breath of fresh air to find a place with such an amazing, elevated and creative menu! It was so hard to pick, but I ordered the La Puerco and it was delicious! I will be back tomorrow to try something new. Please support this wonderful restaurant so we can continue to enjoy their innovative menu and...
