Wayside - Church Street — Restaurant in Concord

Disclaimer- the Wayside on Branchview is always top notch. Today, we decided to try the Wayside on Church Street. What a mistake! We went in and sat down and placed our orders as normal. Then about 10 minutes later the waitress came over and asked, "What did y'all order again?" She hadn't even turned the order in yet! So we had to tell her again. When the food finally came out, my wife's order was wrong. Got hash browns instead of home fries and her eggs weren't done. Runny scrambled eggs! Also, no butter at all on the "buttered toast". And not once during the 30 minutes we sat and waited on the food did anybody offer a refill or anything. They just spent the entire time arguing with each other. Then, instead of sending her food back my wife said just to knock her order off the bill and call it even. Then the waitress had the nerve to say, "I'll only charge ye fir the sausage." 😮 And we were like, "Are you serious?" Avoid this place if you want decent service. What a joke. We have always enjoyed the food at Wayside Restaurant. Almost every time we are in Concord we stop in. The food was good today. But, today was shorted one salad. Call back to tell them and not customer service friendly. Was told I put three in the bag. And we had three things in the bag. Two salads and a bag in the bag with salad dressing and meat. Took an incredible amount of time to get two hamburger platters. Ask if onions were chopped or sliced. I requested sliced, got chopped. My wife requested no onions, got onions. Burger and fries were lukewarm. Ask For mayonnaise, hamburger had none. Requested some mayonnaise and I eventually had to up front and ask again. Manager brought it set it on table without saying a word. There was one waitress trying to take care of 6 tables. When we paid, 14.28. That's all she would say. 14.28.
