I was visiting my sister's family down in PA with my mom and they decided to take us to Heavenly Creamery just across the border into Ohio. First off, it's a very cool renovation of an older church and it still has an altar area and stained glass, as you can see in some of the photos. I'd rather see a building get used and serve a purpose than slowing decaying and becoming a dilapidated eyesore. The interior itself was clean and had a ma and pop feel to it.
The ice cream itself was amazing and the variety of unique flavors and options was quite impressive. I personally tried the lemon-lime and the honey flavors and loved both of them. My mother loves spicy food so he went with mango habanero and also loved it, as it may have been the most unique ice cream flavor she has ever tried. The employees were all very friendly and offered free samples before ordering. The place was quite busy but not too overcrowded as there is a good amount of seating indoors and outdoors. I am not surprised at all that Heavenly Creamery currently has a 4.9 star Google rating as I write this. I would highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't as it strikes me as one of those hidden gems that chain establishments just can't...

I've gone twice so far and planning a 3rd visit before leaving this absolutely beautiful area of Ohio. Coffee cake custard on a Smores cone with marshmallow fluff topping for Round 1 and a Honey hard shake for Round 2... both literally so Divine that all I could do was smile... and still am just thinking about this place. Limited parking lot but plenty on street, wheelchair accessible, very clean, full of Kindness...Nuthin...

I had the Cookie Monster — mint ice cream the color of the real Cookie Monster, chunks of Oreo. A single scoop hit the spot and the mint was balanced, not overpowering. My girlfriend had a scoop of PB Piggy — peanut butter ice cream with chunks of bacon, and our pups split a scoop of vanilla with a milkbone...
