I was told the place had some good pizza so I decided to stop with my son on the way back to PA today. What a disappointment. The food was mediocre at best. The pretzel bites were just ok, the salad was just wet and soggy iceberg with some brown pieces in it. Only other items in the salad were carrot strings and two old looking tomatoes slices topped with mozzarella cheese. The pizza was greasy and wet and the crust seemed like pre-made store bought hard crust that was not even cooked on the bottom not even brown. The peppers on top had no real taste or flavor like they were old. No flavor at all even with pepperoni included with the peppers very disappointed. I can make a better pizza at home with pre-made crust. Only plus was the place had a old nostalgic vibe and the the wait staff was very friendly and nice even though a bit slow but will say that's because the place was busy amd there was only...

I ordered a burger but, was told they stop serving sandwiches after lunch 🤔but I could get pizza, salad, stromboli or subs (isn't that a sandwich?🙄) oh well, we ordered a cheese pizza and a stromboli. Stromboli was large and generously filled. The pizza appeared to only have the essence of sauce on it. Both were descent but, nothing to write home about. Now the fun part.....3 hours later both hubby and I are in the bathroom with diarrhea and vomiting. Made for a really fun date night! Needless to say will not be recommending this place...
Read moreI’m Italian and come from a family of Italian culinary experts. I’ve also had pizza pies from Julianas in the Bronx to Pizzeria Uno in Chicago to California Pizza Kitchen in Los Angeles. Rainbow Cafe is a small unsuspecting restaurant in Conneaut, Ohio that has the best thin crust pizza pie I’ve ever had in my life. From the food to the amazing interactions with the staff, this place is 5 stars all the way. I come here and eat pizza once a month and I will continue the 1.5 hour trek from home as long as the doors are open and the recipe remains the same. Cheers to...
