Fresh Chef holds true to there name with "Fresh". Their entrees, appetizers are incrediblely tasteful and wonderfully spiced - and blended masterfully. I'd love to get into details of every dish I've had, I'll simply summarize that Fresh Chef serves up high quality, farm fresh foods and ingredients. Rich in flavor, deep colors signifying freshness and quality. The menu is well balanced for starters, salads, entrees, different meats and other. You'll find an entree to fit your appetite. The Conover, NC location is situated slightly off the path but easily found and accessible. Love the outdoor seating with shade or heat (depending on preference and weather). I also like the booth settings because they are roomy, comfortable and spacious for a party to eat comfortably. Lighting is optimal throughout the restaurant. This is quite important because too bright is bothersome, and too dark can be a strain on your eyes. Staff is incredible, well managed and highly attentive. If a staff (any staff) passes your table and notice an empty beverage they'll stop and refill. They'll even ask if everything is going good. I believe the owner (Kelly?) has done an excellent job leading his group.

The food was good, we received a great welcoming from beginning to end. Our waitress Maryana gave us excellent service. We order salmon with Cilantro lime rice and brocoli, Steak with Mash Potatoes and asparagus, Pasta Alfredo and Cheeseburger with fries. Let me start with the Salmon was so tender delicious, great flavor, rice was good.The steak was very good,tender and juicy, mashed potatoes also good, the cheeseburger meal was good. The Alfredo Pasta was the star of the night, was extralicious, very cheesy, very flavorful, the parmesan cheese had a distinct authentic flavor. Let's talked about dessert, we oder the cheescake but we didn't care for it was too pasty, not flavor. BUT The ultimate Chocolate Brownie was the bomb, the presentation was so inviting even though I'm not a chocolate dessert lover but once I took a bite I couldn't stop eating, so savoring, so gooey, it melt in your mouth, worth the calories.

You will never know about this place if you are just passing threw if you don't accidently come across it. It is well worth the stop. The service was fast and friendly. Michael knew the menu and had suggestions of what he enjoyed best and what they sell a lot of. I got a burger that was cooked to perfection nice thick burger. Amazing flavor, was about more than I could eat. My friend got the chicken picota which I tasted the sauce was a smooth buttery lemon sauce but not to lemony. Chicken was melt in your mouth tender. We are on the patio it was clean as was the inside of the restaurant and the restrooms as well. Good 1970's rock music playing but not loud. So you could hear each other talk. Everything was perfect here. I was there about 5 but about 6 it got busy. The locals came boiling in. If there was a 10 I'd give this place a 10. Don't forget the key lime pie

We were introduced to Check Fresh Kitchen by the amazing innkeepers at Sweet Tea Bed and Breakfast. We were lucky to get in for dinner on our first evening in Conover. Our dinner started with The Dip Due- Pimento and fresh guacamole, topped with pico de gallo and served with corn chips. They both were very good, but the pimento cheese was my favorite (I guess because it is a Southern thing). For our entreeJenni had Seared Scallops which was the daily special. The scallops are brought in fresh, so when they are gone they are gone till the next deliver. The sear on the scallops was perfect.It came with a side of grits and mixed vegetable. I had the Shrimp and Grits- a combination of NOLA and Charleston styles. The menu had lot of yummy sounding things, so we will have to visit again on our next visit to Conover.

I ate here for the first time recently. The food was really wonderful, and the staff were great. My favorite observation was that all the staff is willing to help you, vs just your waitress like literally every other restaurant. For example, offering the refill my drink and take our empty plates. I’m still giving 5 stars but I did have one dislike, which was the constant loud banging coming from the kitchen. I’m guessing it was necessary but it was distracting as I’m sensitive to noise. But, the food and service was so great I’d go again.
