First time dining here. The dining area was very unappealing, very drab, unkept, and the seatingismatched. My chair was off balance as we dined. We arrived just before 12 noon and was disappointed they stopped serving breakfast at 10:30 a.m. on weekdays. We tried the chicken and gravy pie and we were pleasantly surprised, it was excellent 👍🏻 The biscuit was tasty too. The homemade Cole slaw had potential but not a fan of the pulpy consistency and the bitter aftertaste as if the cabbage wasn't washed properly or had pestaside residue. The ladies restroom situation was a little bizarre. You had to go into a room with two toilets but for privacy have to lock the door so really you only need 1 toilet in there. And then you have to leave that room and walk around the corner to wash your hands in the hall. The waitress was excellent and very accommodating. I'm sorry I don't remember her name. I give the waitress and the chicken and gravy pie 5 ⭐ but the ambiance, cleanliness, and overall...
Read moreFood was good! Service was a little different. We are from out of town looking to get away from all the hustle and bustle. And get into some serenity. The dynamic of this restaurant is family base. But for a small town, race is still color. We were served very different than everyone else. The waitress served us two cups of soda, when we only asked for one. No one else had two cups of any kind of drinks. She joked and stated so she wouldn't have to come back to the table. I now belive the statement was very true. After we received our food she continued to check on us as a waitress should. But it wasn't your normal how is everything check, it was more of how soon are you leaving. We had not even gotten half way through our meal and the waitress drops the check off and states. "Im not trying to rush you but here you go" I understand all family owned restaurants are ran different. This one is a grab and go if you...
Read moreWe walked in and the place had a smell like an old building. I told my wife it might be ok there were several people in there. We ordered our drinks two diet Pepsi. When se gave them two us they were regular Pepsi when I told her see picked up the refill and took a swallow and said you’re right there regular. Then she kept calling me honey and my wife mama which is so disrespectful. The food came out the squash was fried in grease that tasted like it should have been changed a month ago. The Salisbury steak was so hard the knife wouldn’t cut it with some of the nastiest gravy on it and the potatoes. Slaw was horrible. Cornbread had been sitting a while and got hard. There was no need to complain to the owner because if they hired this waitress there was no need. Plus I will never eat there again. These people need to go back to the drawing board and learn how to make true...
