Conover City Park — Attraction in Conover

Conover City Park, though under constitution, is still a nice park. This park has a walking trail that’s partly shaped like a coat hanger and another trail that goes along the perimeter and wooded areas of the park. There were play grounds and a water pad for the kids to play and a covered picnic area for parties. While posting another review I was interrupted by the sudden movement of my RV. I knew it wasn’t an earthquake because I’ve experienced a few of those. No, this was unfortunately an accident where and construction worker backed out without realizing his depth perception. No worries. No one was harmed in this incident. The gentleman apologized and he was forgiven. The damage was a simple buff out on my end so I didn’t feel the need to take it any further. This was a hard working man who did not need anymore heartache. We don’t have to sue everyone for everything. We must have compassion and understanding of others by talking to each other especially under stressful circumstances. I imaging his ride home was enlightening as...

While the track is nice and the landscaping is neat, the splash pad, picnic area, and bathrooms are in poor condition. The bathrooms are disgusting and unusable, the picnic area is full of trash and ants, and around the top play area there are many fire ant mounds. Unlike every other splash pad in Catawba County, this splash pad does not turn on until 11am. Being as it was 84 degrees by 10am, 11am is late. A child in our group went down a trail by the upper playground and got attacked by fire ants. I am confused by why the City of Conover takes care of the back walking trail, but seems not to care for the most used area by children. This is not the park to bring children...

Beautiful park that keeps getting better! Great walking paths with places to rest, see wildlife, let the kids play, and just enjoy the weather! They also have a nice place to sit with your friends and family to eat a bite. Throughout the summer months they have a splash pad for the kids.
