El Bosque Tex-Mex Grill — Restaurant in Conroe

I hate to do a one star review but it was earned today! I place an online order for fajitas for 6 beef and chicken and was told 20-25 minute wait which was no problem accept I arrived 25 minutes later and they stated my order was not ready yet and that it would be another 10 minutes, no big deal so I waited another 20 minutes for my order then it was brought out to my car. I ended up paying way to much over $110.00 and never received my beef fajitas that I order and it was all chicken! I called and spoke to the manager about correcting my order and ended up driving all the way back to the restaurant. Once I talked to the manager he only brought out fajitas for 3 and continued to not accept the responsibility to provide me what I paid for and he stated I already received fajitas for six? Clearly they arent in the business to make things right and wanted to argue with me on what I already received! Not the point I ordered beef and chicken fajitas for 6 and they weren't wanting to correct their mistake and give me the full order I requested AND PAID FOR? I have had enough of this driving back and forth and I can only worn those who may run into the same issue! Nothing but excuses came out of his mouth and a guy was in the parking lot ended up getting a botched order as well! Clearly this was the last time they will receive...

It really pains me to say this because we’ve been loyal patrons of this chain since they opened in Conroe years ago. The prices here have gone ASTRONOMICAL and the portions have gotten smaller. I love El Bosque for the friendly staff and the good food but frankly… the prices are not justified. The food is pretty standard, greasy Tex-Mex. You go there because you want something greasy and warm and covered in cheese. But a quesadilla shouldn’t be $20. Not unless you’ve got a killer recipe, and frankly this restaurant doesn’t. It’s now so expensive here that you can go to The Goode Company (most expensive Mexican food in the county) off Research Forest and eat for nearly the same cost. I really wish I didn’t have to say this because I love this place, but it’s not worth it anymore guys. You’re gouging people for food that isn’t creative and ambiance that’s lacking. If you were making steps to become a place that was worthy of the prices, I’d understand. The last several times we’ve eaten there the food wasn’t even up to regular standards. They’ve gotten stingier with portions too. You get half the food now for three times the cost. Unless something changes, I don’t think I’d recommend eating...

We ordered the fajitas for 2 to go. When we picked it up we asked for sour cream and were told it was in the bag. When we got home and opened everything up there was no sour cream or onions with the meat. I called to see if part of our order was missing, and was put on hold. The manager got on the phone and i explained to her the problem. She was extremely rude, didn’t offer any kind of help. She said that the fajitas don’t come with sour cream or veggies. I explained to her we specifically asked for sour cream when we went in to pay for and pick up our food, and were told it was already in the bag. I also explained the menu online says the fajitas come on a bed of onions. She said said usually they do and trailed off... so i said thank you and ended the conversation as obviously she’s not interested in customer service or keeping patrons to her restaurant. Will definitely never eat from this place again. If you get to go, beware. And watch out for...
