I have never written a negative review before, but after my past two experiences at Fajita Jack’s, I feel it is absolutely necessary. These experiences have bothered me every single day, and I want to share them so others are aware.
The first issue occurred when I ordered the appetizer ceviche to go. I picked it up and ate it at work within 15 minutes. Shortly afterward, I became extremely nauseous and ended up sick for an entire week. Multiple doctors told me they believed food poisoning from the ceviche was the likely cause. While I understand accidents can happen, after speaking with several people in the community, I learned that this seems to be a common occurrence at Fajita Jack’s, with others also reporting feeling unwell after eating there.
After some time away, I decided to give the restaurant another chance. I went alone one evening, planning to sit at the bar, order food, and purchase a margarita to go. I am 22 years old, and I had my ID in hand, ready to show. When I arrived, I was met at the front by a group of employees, including the manager (a younger, slim man with brown hair). The interaction felt uncomfortable from the beginning, as I was not warmly greeted and instead felt as though I was being looked down on.
I was told I could order a to-go margarita if I also ordered food, even something small like queso, which I agreed to without hesitation. However, when I approached the bar, the bartender acted as if he did not want to serve me. He stared at me, made me feel unwelcome, and then told me “no” before going back to the manager. When he returned, he very rudely informed me that I would need to order a 32 oz margarita and an entrée—a very different standard than what I had just been told. He said this while walking away from me, making it clear he had no interest in serving me.
At that point, I politely told him “never mind” and decided to leave. As I walked out, the group of employees at the front—including the manager—simply stared at me, some even exchanging laughs. Not a single person thanked me or said goodbye. The way I was treated was disrespectful, humiliating, and completely unprofessional.
I want to be clear: I do not know anyone who works there, and I have only been to this restaurant a handful of times in my life. I was polite and respectful during the entire interaction, yet I was treated as though I was a problem. This experience, combined with the prior ceviche incident, has ensured that I will not be returning.
I was willing to overlook the ceviche situation as an accident, but the blatant rudeness and lack of professionalism I experienced during my last visit cannot be ignored. Many locals I have spoken with have also expressed similar concerns about both the food and the service. Fajita Jack’s has not only lost me as a customer but also several others who were equally appalled by how I...

My recent dining experience at left me with mixed feelings and a handful of disappointments. While I had high hopes for a delightful evening, several issues marred my overall impression. However, the actions taken by the manager at the end of our meal helped restore some faith in the establishment's commitment to customer service.
Firstly, our server's performance was, in one word, awful. From the moment we sat down, it was evident that they lacked enthusiasm and basic hospitality skills. Their attitude translated into poor service throughout the evening. Not only did they neglect to check on us regularly, but they also failed to provide any guidance or recommendations when we sought assistance with the menu.
To add insult to injury, the fish dish I ordered was undercooked. As a seafood lover, I was looking forward to savoring a well-prepared meal, but unfortunately, the fish arrived with a noticeably raw center. This oversight in the kitchen was highly disappointing and demonstrated a lack of attention to detail.
Even more concerning was an incident where our server was overheard talking negatively about my sister. This type of unprofessional behavior is inexcusable and reflects poorly on the establishment as a whole. It's disheartening to witness such disrespectful conduct, especially towards customers.
Despite the numerous shortcomings, there was a silver lining to our dining experience. After we expressed our dissatisfaction to the manager, they promptly intervened and took ownership of the situation. The manager was genuinely apologetic and comped our entire bill as a gesture of goodwill. Their swift response and willingness to rectify the issues demonstrated their commitment to customer satisfaction.
While I appreciate the manager's efforts to salvage our experience, it is essential for the restaurant to address the underlying service and quality control issues. A poorly trained server and undercooked food are significant oversights that can tarnish the reputation of any establishment.
Considering the disappointing aspects of our visit, I am hesitant to recommend this place at this time. However, I am hopeful that they will take the necessary steps to improve their staff training and ensure that the quality of their dishes meets the expectations of their patrons. With a renewed focus on customer service and culinary excellence, they have the potential to become a truly remarkable dining...
Read moreFajita Jacks was once one of my absolute favorite place to dine and drink at. When family and friends came to visit I would B line there with them so they dine on the best food 105 offers and the wonderful staff. Last night I decided to visit Fajita Jacks for Super Bowl and everything I loved about Jacks was ruined by one person. This time I was solo and decided to dine at the bar. I sat down and the bartender did not acknowledge me for almost 5 minutes even though she looked at me multiple times l. When she did finally come over she was very unfriendly, dissociative and made me feel as I wasn’t welcomed there. She rudely asked me what I’m drinking I asked for a drink menu due to me enjoying trying different things. She basically slid the drink menu at me instead of handing it to me or placing it in my hand. When she came back to get my drink order she made my drink placed it in front me no straw or anything. She then rudely said “I guess you need a food menu” in total disbelief I said “yes” she then asked if I wanted chips and salsa and I replied “sure, sounds good” when she brought it I thanked her and she just turned and walked off. So I just sat back and watched how she interacted when a guy came to the bar and joined two people that was already there. Soon as he sat down she was already in front of him being so attentive to his needs giving suggestions and offering things. At the moment I just gotten up and left without touching anything she given me. It’s horrible that me being a paying customer couldn’t get the same treatment that others had received. I hate to think of it as a racial thing but it does play a part when I’m a male of African American decent and the others...
