Pop & Swirl — Restaurant in Conroe

I really like the ice cream here. It’s divine. I’ve been to this spot at least 5 times and plan to continue to go there. I’ve recommended it to friends and people in my neighborhood which is not far from this spot. I love that it’s on the lake because i can walk the pier and enjoy my treat. I probably would have rated this spot a 5 but my last visit was different service than i usually experience. I wasn’t greeted upon walking in and i felt a bit like a bother ordering…maybe staff was tired this day, everyone is entitled to an off day.. but then the people who came in after me were greeted excitedly and the people who came in after them too… the people in front of me were offered/given a loyalty card on their first visit. That was a bit disappointing for me because Well I’ve been there once a week for the last 5 weeks and was never offered one. This time i waited to see if i would be offered one and still she didn’t so i asked for one. I always tip too so i don’t know. She happily gave it to me but again not at the same level of explanation and communication of how it works as the previous folks received. Nobody ever wants to feel as though they are being treated differently. I always go in with a smile. I get the same thing when i go in every time. Most times i bring my daughter or my husband. I’ll probably bring a couple of my neighbors next time. Hopefully this was just an off day but it didn’t appear that way for everyone else so I’m not sure why the service this one time for me was not up to par…but it’s fair for me to mention that EVERY other time I’ve been in there the service has been stellar. Pop & Swirl is a hidden gem that delivers both flavor and charm! We tried the tres leches popsicle, the Dubai strawberry chocolate popsicle, and the beef empanadas — and everything was absolutely amazing. The popsicles were rich, refreshing, and full of unique flavor, while the empanadas were perfectly crispy and packed with savory goodness.
