We'd heard that this place was sold a few months ago, to the guys that own Moonshiners. Since we've never been impressed with Moonshiners' food, we stayed away until last night. I had a craving for crawfish and the weather was beautiful, plus we figured on a Thursday night in February it wouldn't be too crowded, so we decided it was time to try them again. Bottom line: truly excellent crawfish and sides, comically confused service, and very very expensive. To start: everything you could want in your crawfish boil is a la carte - you pay separately. Bugs: $8.99/lb, corn: $0.69 for a 3" piece, potato: $0.69 for golf-ball size, mushrooms: $4.99, spice: $0.59. <-- yes, $0.59 for spice. In a crawfish boil. Shrimp: $10.99/half pound, sausage: $3.99. We remember not too long ago when all but the shrimp and mushrooms were included in every crawfish boil, but here it will cost you $7.34 more, which worked out to an extra $2.45/lb for our 3-pound order. BUT WAIT: that probably means that we're getting a full 3 lbs of crawfish only, and not paying $8.99/lb for the extra stuff. So, I kinda get it - but guys, you just can't ask people to pay extra for spice - it's a bad look. Anyways...the bar service has always been slow, and nothing's changed. We waited 15 minutes for one mixed drink, and the place wasn't very busy. As our waitress said, "the bar's really backed up" - on a slow night. No kidding - has been since they opened. When you consider that alcohol is the #1 money maker in any restaurant, it just blows my mind that they can't find another bartender and ramp up this big bump to their bottom line. Speaking of waitresses ("waiters"): They are universally nice, hard-working, and earnestly trying to get your food and drinks to you. Poor girls. Anyways...the bugs came out in 15 minutes - not bad. But no corn, no sausage, no shrimp in the bag. "oh, you must've gotten the wrong order" - after we'd started. We worked on that while they tried to figure out what happened. 15 minutes later(!) we got another bag - shrimp and corn. "I don't think there's sausage in there" she said. No, there wasn't. Fortunately, after being there for 40 minutes we got our second round of drinks, ordered 20 minutes earlier. And let me say this: the Key Lime Martini might be the best drink I've tasted in years. It is truly outstanding and immediately moved into first place on our list of local mixed drink favorites. Just try it. As we were finishing up our crawfish and late-arrived shrimp, the one piece of sausage arrived. We'd completely forgotten about it, but I can say, it was a great piece of sausage, smokey, well made, not too greasy. Great sausage, and (almost) worth the wait. Conclusion: The quality of the crawfish, sides, and drinks make this a worthwhile visit. Just be prepared to spend a nice, lazy evening and don't worry too much about what comes out when. Order your drinks immediately - before you sit down - and order any subsequent rounds when you're about half-way through the first. Check the contents of any bag of seafood that arrives, but DO NOT send it back - just let them keep working to complete the order. It'll happen eventually and you'll be glad you waited. Oh, and bring your wallet: 3 lbs crawfish, 1/2 lb shrimp, the extras, and 3 drinks: $101 with tip.

So I could definetly see this place having higher potential but I can only share based off last night's experience. We went here for my Brother's Birthday and the whole Family came out of town and this was supposed to be the best rated Seafood place in Conroe. The Atmosphere is stunning and I am sure it is really nice when they have live music. Outside seating is right on the water which is divine but there were a few hiccups that should be mentioned by the cooks and servers. The servers did not return to check on us to see if we needed more drinks. The servers did not see if we liked the food. The servers forgot items. The servers and cooks messed up my brothers very simple order. They remedied the issue by comping his meal and the girls were very young and nice but what really bothered me was that all the grilled seafood was overcooked and the Caeser salad was made incorrectly. Caeser Salad is supposed to have Anchovies and they make theirs with Bacon and don't even tell you of the change. Their Caeser Dressing isn't real Caeser Dressing and my Husband asked for Balsamic Vinegar and he received something else entirely as well. He also ordered some simple condiments that never came either. Now these servers were very sweet but clearly didn't have much work experience. My suggestion is for them to be provided with some training and better note taking skills to help them remember people's orders and requests. These girls have a lot of potential and I think would make great servers one day. I am willing to try this restaurant again in the future but I am hesitant because once you've had below average seafood once, you're reluctant to go out of your way to see if it will be better next time. I will say that there were no complaints about the burgers or fried seafood and the mozzarella sticks were great. I did notice that almost nobody ate their sides. So I do find that suspish and wonder if it was a quality issue and they were trying to be polite, because only one of us wanted to take any leftovers home. I think next time I want to come during lunch and not dinner and order something different and see if the experience can be better. Some people really just are great at cooking things they make all the time and will grilled items it takes only minutes to ruin them. I also recommend if you are going to serve some drinks in giant cups, you should have straws that are the correct size. I had to double a straw and the rest of the family felt awkward about digging their hands in the drink trying to dig the straws out that were less than a half inch from the bottom. I think this place really could be a 4-5 star experience, it just needs a few minor improvements.

I can't speak for all of the staff but our waitress needs way more training, have to start somewhere though, she gave our table more laughs than we could count and it wasn't due to her overly charming personality.

However, the restaurant looks amazing inside! Huge step up from what the previous restaurant looked like. Outside is nice also for day time seating or night lounging. Night time eating is more of a struggle unless you like to eat in the dark. We sat waters edge because we came in via boat for a small bday gathering. I had to put my phone up in the umbrella with the light on so we could read the menus and see to eat, would suggest you add lights to the tables further away from the main building.

Construction during business hours was a poor decision, we had to listen to them work on the bar and saw away during our meal.

The ladies that were with us had to use the latrine and 3 of the women staff were in the restroom complaining of having to work here and how tonight's service was going. Very unprofessional, they did it again right before we left as they were cleaning the table next to us except they were bad mouthing the customers who left in front of us. Lol, sad really.

Honestly the only thing saving our experience from a 1 or 2 star review was the food. We all shared with each other. And everything was excellent. The chefs are doing their job and doing it well.

We had: The triple dipper (like the house chips) The Buffalo chicken Flatbread (delicious, recommended) Hangover burger (avg) Grilled chicken sandwich (avg) Mango wings (great flavor but very small wings) The brisket Philly (great) And the nacho burger (best burger we had at table, recommended)

Upon leaving the dew started to set in and your boat dock gets slippery. 3 of the 5 of us almost slipped, there is no caution sign on your boat dock for the unsuspecting, would suggest you add a few or put down some slip resistant strips.

I'm sure it's on the list of things, but there is no railing around the waters edge to keep kids, stumbling people or the overly phone savvy generation from walking right off from lack of attention.

Great start, looking forward to watching yall develope...
