Let me tell you about this place...I travel for my job and I have eaten at almost all of the MOD PIZZAS because they are good, but let me tell you what makes an establishment great...the people behind the name. Flat out, as we all know, a home is just a shell...but it is the family inside that gives heart and soul to the spirit! ADDIE, KATE, AND MCKENNA (who had come over from the Springwoods Village store to help out for the night, come to find out) treated me like family when they could have very easily turned me away, AS I SHOWED UP AT 10:59 on a FRIDAY NIGHT AND THEY WELCOMED ME WITH OPEN ARMS!! I could not believe how gracious, kind and loving these girls were to me when they did not have to be!!! They blessed me beyond belief as I was hangry HANGRY and probably not very nice to them but they melted me with smiles and hospitality after their OWN long day, and AT CLOSING TIME! These girls took their time, never rushing me, making me feel like part of their family for the 30 minutes I was waiting. It was the BEST WAIT! I forgot I was hangry and just enjoyed being in the moment with these lovely ladies. I left MOD PIZZA not thinking about how hungry, grouchy or tired I was, but how refreshing and uplifted I felt from spending time (after hours) with this amazing staff.
I want to personally Thank ADDIE, KATE AND MCKENNA for treating me like a sister and being so nice....AND MAKING MY PIZZA AT CLOSE! THAT is what brings people back, way more than the fantastic pizza. :-) ...
Read moreThis is like Subway for pizza. Except it's really good pizza! You come in and you're greeted by everyone behind the counter. They just shout out random "Hello!"s at you as you come in. Very cool. So the concept is you order a pizza with whatever you want on it. They have several pizzas you can choose from, but I always just order from the bar. The pizza comes in 3 sizes. Mini, MOD, and double (2 crusts). They'll ask if you've been there before, which is also cool., in case you need to know what you're doing. If you haven't picked a pizza on the menu board, just tell them what you want on your pizza and they put it in there for you. I do have to ask for more toppings, as they almost always skimp on them. They have actually made comments about how much I like pepperoni (they literally put 4 slices on it). But they will keep piling them on for you after their initial surprise and begrudeness ( yeah, I know it's not a real word). They have a dessert pizza and garlic bread also (on their mini crust). The dessert pizza comes with a chocolate, cinnamon, or strawberry dip. They have beer on tap, or you can choose sodas or teas or lemonade. They also have bottled drinks to choose from. After they pile on the toppings the pizza is whisked away into a hot artisan oven where someone is moving it around for about 5 mins. They'll call your name to come get your pies and you enjoy! It's thin crust only. But it's super tasty. I'd...
Read moreMy first experience today with MOD Pizza was great until about the end and then it became so so. This place is in a great location within the Conroe Loop which makes it great for easy access; they got 14 locations within the Houston Metro. Walk in on Friday night, moderately busy and the place was really family friendly the moment I walked in, kids everywhere! Their menu is pretty straight forward, got greeted by their first station girl who is politely, quick & informative for a person being new to the pizza joint! The employees were nice also, paid for my pizzas and then waited. Terrena, the lady that was putting orders To Go & in places for dine in was where my experience fell short. I ordered 1 of the garlic strips & 3 of the MOD size pizzas; the 3 pizzas were all the same kind of toppings. Once the garlic and 1 of the pizzas were ready, she preceded with thank you, and I told her I had two more pizzas. The second one came and she did it again! And I told her I still I one more pizza! Not a great feeling when you're left out of the full order you paid for. After I got my 3 pizzas & garlic bread, I asked her for pesto but she only gave me one for three pizzas which became a disappointment. Though these errors could be fixed easily, I hope this doesn't happen again but over all, great place, great pizza and great...
