Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Conroe

FAIL. Unfortunately, I managed a Sonic franchise that was #1 out of the 17 across two counties elsewhere. I ordered really simple stuLG. A Lg. Chili cheese tots with onions and two shakes... that's it. First thing I get is "we have to refill our shake machine"... that should NEVER happen. You CONSTANTLY refill the shake machine before it goes empty. While waiting 15 minutes for three items I pressed the button again to ask if the chili cheese tots and onions (takes about 60 seconds to prepare) we're just sitting under a lamp until the shake machine was ready. "No, the order is coming out now". Ok. Recieved soggy chili cheese tots with chili that looked like tree bark and NO onions which I was still charged for. Waited 20+ minutes for 3 items. A secret shopper would have eviscerated any Sonic for taking more than 3 1/2 minutes with a CORRECT order.

This store was not very busy that night and had DOUBLE the staff on site than I ever had at the three stores I managed.

TOTAL FAIL. 0 stars if that...

I love Sonic and one of the reasons I love it is because of the quality control they have. Their food consistently tastes the same. I ordered one of my favorite menu items a junior double cheeseburger no pickles and onion rings. The onion rings were hot and fresh. I waited to eat my burger when I got home. I did not get what I ordered. I was given a junior cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I do not like onions so I scraped the onions off ( the junior double cheeseburger does not come with onions) I ended up just attempting to eat the top bun, cheese and patty The hamburger patty was extremely salty. So much so that I could not eat it. Lesson learned that I should have checked the bag before driving away, but then again, if the order was right, I would not have had to. I will still frequent Sonic, just maybe...

So I have an ice obsession. I stop by sonic quite often and even several times a day to get ice. Last night I was in Conroe for work and was heading back to Houston. It was about 8 pm. I only ordered my usual route 44 cup of ice. The girl that brought my order was super sweet as well as the other car hops. I sat there for a couple minutes before ordering and saw their interactions with other customers. They even offered me a spoon when most of the car hops normally offer me a straw. I got my cup and drove off. My ice tasted like grease..... it was causing a film in my mouth, it was so bad. For the first time ever, I didn't actually finish my cup of ice and had to stop closer to home to get a new one. Pleaseeeeee clean out your ice machine....
