Taco Bueno — Restaurant in Conroe

I was a little bit worried about going here because of the awful things the review have said but I believe that maybe those people were just unfortunate to catch this amazing place on a bad day. I would like to start off by saying how the food was, it was amazing for tex mex fast food. Everything is fresh and the staff had told me that it takes a lot of arm work to make everything and I don’t doubt it. I ordered a beef muchaco, a cheesecake chimichanga, and a chicken rollup my favorite thing was probably the cheesecake chimichanga it was AMAZING. The staff was also very kind and patient and even asked what I prefer when it comes to food in order to get me something that I would enjoy, the place was nice when I got there but it does get dirty pretty fast from what I have seen while watching people leave and leaving the most horrendous mess. Overall I believe it’s an amazing place and maybe it’s not a preferred spot for everyone but I will definitely be coming back. (I recommend probably some name tags and some work shirts for the employees so people can know who they are because I honestly wish I could call out these amazing employees...

I was so excited to finally get a Taco Bueno and how disappointed I was. I ordered my food" to go" inside because the drive through lane was so long. While waiting on my food, I went to the salsa bar where there was no salsa, no onions, no napkins and several drinks were out of order. When I got my food and double checked everything, it was not correct. That meant going back in to wait even longer, making the rest of the food get cold. After finally getting home, it was discovered once again that something was on my Mucho Platter that I asked not to be on as well as they did not put any chips with it. All of the beef was so salty it was hard to choke down. By my observation, there were plenty of employees, but most acted like they were miserable to even be working. The young lady at the cash register was very friendly and was the only thing I could see that was good. I sure hope they change and do much better. First and possibly last time coming to Taco Bueno.

The drive-thru set up is not fast or friendly. I was in the inner lane and had to essentially cut off someone in the outer lane and hold them up to order my food. Then I had to wave them through so I wouldn't cut them off and mess up the food order in the restaurant.

When I got to the window, I paid for my two number one combos, and I asked and double checked with the window worker, and they assured me that all of my food was there. It was not, I pulled around and discovered they forgot multiple food items in my order. I then went inside and told the front counter worker, and she took care of it.

Fast forward 10 minutes when I get home and they STILL didnt give me the right food item after I went inside to tell them what I was missing.

I understand that this is a new restaurant that just opened but order accuracy is very important because stuff like this makes people not want to come back and that just ends up hurting...
