Potbelly — Restaurant in Conroe

We hadn’t been to Pot Belly in years, but always have enjoyed eating there. We were out running errands and decided to have dinner here on Friday night. Needless to say, our years of way inspired us to order way too much food for one meal, but led us to some delicious and other not so delicious tastes.

I ordered the steakhouse beef combo (with jalapeño Zapps potato chips), mac and cheese, and half an apple walnut salad. My husband ordered the Italian combo (with salt and vinegar potato chips) and a cup of chili. We both wanted tea, but there was no tea out for self-service. We asked and they did have fresh tea for the drive thru menu which the staff kindly filled and refilled for us. I just thought it was strange to not have any for the main dining room at 6:30p on a Friday.

The steakhouse beef was just a disappointing sandwich. :( It’s described as “angus roast beef, crumbled blue cheese, provolone, horseradish aioli”. I love all of the words in this description and was really excited for my sandwich. Unfortunately, the beef was very fatty, as in just full bites of fat that I couldn’t eat. The blue cheese crumbles were incredibly overpowering and completely detracted from the taste of the sandwich. Other toppings were fresh, but I couldn’t even taste the provolone, don’t even know if it was there. And the peppers seemed different. Not sure if it was just my sandwich, but we could’ve sworn the hot peppers used to be a green and red pepper mix, I just had green peppers. My husband, however, enjoyed the chili and the Italian. I enjoyed the mac and cheese and took the salad home.

Sent my husband there tonight to grab a bowl of chili with shredded cheese. They gave me sandwich cheese and round sandwich onions. Called to let them know I would like to bring it back tomorrow and get a refund because I'm missing dinner tonight due to the chili not being edible do to possibly choking on those large onions. It does me no good tomorrow, right? Sarah get attitude and tell me I got what I wanted and there's no refund. When, in fact I did not get what I wanted because there was no SHREDDED CHEESE which I specifically requested also hearing the guy that took the order confirming it. How does this make sense? This is not acceptable at all, nor is her attitude. Spent $30 plus dollars with these people tonight and it's my last time spending with this company no wonder it's always minimum traffic if this how you train employees to treat customers. Do NOT come here. I ordered food on their website and had my husband pick it up. We were missing everything for the kids meal but the sandwich. My husbands sandwich was poorly made- it had the paper in the sandwich, my daughter also found GUM in her soup. I called the manager to speak to Trisha twice. She sounded like she was out of it, and she told me she would refund the meal, which hasn't been done. She also told me chewing gum was against their policy, and I asked her to please pull the footage for that time, she put me on hold for almost 20 mins to come back and say she would investigate the matter further and asked what else I wanted considering shes already refunding the food. I also asked how long it would take her to investigate and call me back and she told me to "please just wait and they will get back with me"
