V Bistro is a decent Vietnamese Grill, food was ok, the PHO is lacking in flavor so this is not a place to go for PHO, the rest of the food is decent enough, they are new to the area so they just need some time to build up and adjust the menu.

I had their H2 which Is the Basil Flat Noodle, I forgot to ask for them not to include the shrimp tail, almost all Vietnamese restaurants include the tail for "flavor" but I am not much on eating the shell of the shrimp tail, so that was my fault for failure to ask them to remove it. The rest of the dish was ok, decent flavor and fresh.

We also tried their Pho GA with Meatballs, but they do not make the normal Pho broth but instead its basically slightly flavored water, meaning no additional real flavor, so we definitely do not recommend the Pho, we have had Pho from many places around Houston and they use the normal Pho broth but not V Bistro, so avoid that dish.

Next was the Bahn Mi, it was missing the normal liver pate and only had the meat, cucumber, carrot and cilantro, not a typical Vietnamese dish either, with missing the pate on it, it lacked the typical Vietnamese flavor, so this is Americanized, and really not authentic, another food loss on flavor and substance, not recommended if you want authentic but if you do not like the liver pate then it might be ok for you. The pate really is a staple to a typical Vietnamese Bahn Mi though.

Finally we tried their Stir Fried Chicken and Vegetables, this was bland but ok, ended up taking it home for a leftover to eat later, it was missing something (not by menu, I mean by taste) but overall it was at least colorful and had chicken and they forgot the cup of soup. According to the menu, it says all rice plates come with a cup of chicken soup, but honestly I do not think that the R10 qualifies as a rice plate, so it really depends. This wording is below R13 in the menu, maybe it is a misprint and needs to be moved up to under R5? No idea.

The employees were all very friendly and prompt which is a great selling point to the restaurant, additionally the place is very clean and organized, there was plenty of room to get around however, I could see someone with a wheelchair having issues moving around some, but with some shifting of chairs and tables they could probably get around fine.

Overall I give this place a 4 only because of the employees and atmosphere, the food sits at a 3 though, not sure I could bring myself to get it up to a 4 based on missing ingredients in dishes and lack of flavor for authentic Vietnamese food.

Give them a try though, let them know how well they do and if there is anything missing, they have plenty of room to grow and are a welcome addition to...

My husband and I dined in for the first time yesterday. We’ve ordered take out twice and decided to dine in this time. A younger girl was our server. Absolute terrible service and experience. I felt so disrespected. First, I asked if they had WiFi she said no. There were two different Wi-Fis that popped up for v bistro.

They were very busy so we took that into consideration therefore I won’t comment on the lack of service in that area. I will however address this. At no point was she friendly or welcoming. We first ordered the appetizer sampler, I requested the house spicy sauce she had no idea what I was talking about which is mentioned on the menu under extras. When the appetizer comes out it, she placed it directly in front of my husband. Wasn’t a huge deal but I noticed. The food comes out, my husband gets served first. Still, not a big deal but I noticed. We needed refills, so I waved the server down after they were sitting at the edge of the table after she had passed by multiple times, she tells me that she can refill his but mine can’t be refilled. Not a problem, I asked for a cup of ice so I could pour my water bottle into. She returns with his refill and no cup of ice for me. I flag her down again and request the ice, to go boxes and place a to go order. When she returns, she serves me to go boxes to pack and THE TICKET to pay! I was so shocked. She served my husband everything else first, then served me the TICKET and to go boxes? I swiftly picked up the ticket and gave it to my husband. I guess she noticed I was upset so she sent a gentleman to collect the payment. We usually tip well but I left $6 and honestly didnt want to leave that. Being a business owner myself, I will not hold this against the establishment but I hope management trains their employees on how to be better servers.

Onto the food, my husbands pho was great. I had the steak cubes with rice and it was decent, a little over cooked and chewy but flavor was good. The shrimp lollipops were gross and the egg rolls were disgusting. It’s like a hot dog consistency in the middle of both. The spring rolls were great along with the crab Rangoon. The dragonfruit limeade was a tad...

The Restaurant is amazing in every respect. It is very clean, comfortable and reasonably quiet. Decorations were interesting and on the modernistic side. The servers were all trying to wait on me. At least three of them came to visit me several times before the rest of my group arrived.

The menu is big for a Vietnamese restaurant. It is easy to understand and the varieties and combinations are spectacular. I chose to try the hot and sour pho. It comes with a choice of four meats, vegetables, noodles, and an outstanding sauce which is spicy and just slightly sour. If you are not a “spicy person“, do not order this item. I love spice and I dug into this very quickly and found out that it was much spicier than I thought. You have to work into it slowly. The helping was huge and it came with the side greens, sprouts and jalapeños. Pricing was very reasonable and everything tasted fresh and the recipes were well fought out.

Before going, I studied the reviews within and any mention of the pho being watery or tasteless could not be more wrong. This full body soup had so much flavor you could’ve dunked your bread into it and enjoyed that for dessert.

I highly recommend this restaurant and I will certainly be back to try some of the...

I wasn't too keen on pho because my first experience in a different place and state was bad. But this place definitely healed that trauma. First, walking in you'll be greeted by the beautiful plants. I really love when the stores interior is simple but elegant and this place definitely gave that off. The murals on the wall, *chefs kiss, just nice to look at and reminds me of home. We had one beautiful lady serving us and I loved that she understood and was able to answer all the questions we had. Their dishware is really pretty. I was throughougly impressed that they had both chopsticks and FORKS and spoons and the soup spoons all ready to be used. I went to another pho restaurant just a week ago and a they had upfront was the soup soon and chopsticks, so little things like having everything aid out instead of having to ask goes a long way. We had N7 and N4, hot and spicy pho and beef pho. We noticed that they're generous with the meat, it was well-portioned. These soups were made without pork, which I love. The meat were tender and had fat (which is my favorite) Their viet coffee is more bitter but the after taste is sweet, which is the way I like my coffee. The Avocado smoothie is light and nice.

I was so impressed by this Vietnamese Bistro. I moved to Montgomery, TX from Honolulu, HI and couldn't find a decent asian restaurant. Panda Express anywhere here is nowhere near Panda Express in Hawaii. The other Vietnamese Pho on 105 and the one close to Target in 105 were A-okay. But V Bistro is the place I will have no problem eating by myself after yoga class. Here are the reasons why I know I go to this place again and again: - Vietnamese Coffee is the right way to serve it. See pic. I have been to Vietnam, have acquaintances from Vietnam and I know how their coffee should taste like. - the pho was very tasty and the meat was plentiful. - the service is impeccable. The staff (all of them) were attentive to your needs. I was even asked if I want more basil and if I want my Vietnamese coffee re-heated/put in a togo cup. When my coffee came back - the owner said she made it stronger for me too. My left over (very generous portion) was placed by my server in a to go container. "I'll do for you," he said. Awww. That's a full service I'd say. - the place is clean, not crowded, airy and the atmosphere is casual and cozy. The chair is comfortable.
