Best chinese food around, hands down. This has been my favorite chinese food place since it opened up years ago.. The food is absolutely amazing and they use chicken breast vs the usual fatty thighs and/or dark meat other places use. So its good chunks of meat.. I do just wish they had/did 3 things differently tho.. • 1) Dont ever dilute the sweet and sour sauce, it make it very watery and wipes out alot of the taste. The consistency is so important because when i dip into the sauce, it doesn't stick to the food like it is supposed to. • 2) A little bigger portions for the price. (Example: Maybe 1 more piece of chicken + a few pieces of broccoli in the order of General Tso Chicken -- both the lunch and family sizes) alot of people i know have told me that they avoid chinese food due to high pricing and not getting enough food. They say it isn't worth it/can't afford it • 3) Would be super awesome if i could order a small side portion of (like half of the newly modified portion in accordance with my previous suggestion on portion sizes) all the items at all times and not only if i buy the lunch order. Which is set to a specific bracket of time too so not offered when i order which is mostly at dinner time. Sometimes I just want a little bit of multiple things but I don't want to buy 6 big portions of all the things I want a little of and especially if it's just me by myself eating Overall though, I love this place. Some minor things would go a long way (which are the things I suggested obviously haha) The dining area inside is also small but cozy and always kept clean. I have brought my family here several times or met up for lunch. There are tables with chairs AND comfy U - shaped booths and high chairs available as well. The staff is cool once they get to know u. The food is always fresh, yet they have it ready in 15 mins or less every time. 99% of the time it's already ready in 5-10 mins max. I love chinese food and over the years my beloved places have shut down and/or moved and then it's hard to find another place as good. This one made the cut for me easily because it makes all the foods I liked since being a kid and we all know that means alot. It's never fun to go somewhere expecting something amazing we want, the specific way we have always had it and then arriving to find it's so differently prepared it doesn't even resemble itself anymore muchless taste the same. Lol this place did the best job ever of nailing it perfectly on the food recipes. Can't say enough...
Read moreI do not understand why this restaurant is not a five star complete reviews from everyone. We were going to Olive Garden next to it and decided to try Weng’s Wok instead. I was hesitant because I do not like Chinese food that much and thought by its name their main dish were wings.🧐🤣! We went two weeks ago and have been back four times already. My son and his family called and said they were coming to see us from League City and did we want to eat at Luby’s, I said no let’s try Weng’s Wok, he looked the reviews up and said sounds good. I got the sizzling beef platter as did my grandson also, my DIL got the sizzling chicken platter, my wife got her usual Moo Goo Gai Pan and my son got the shrimp. I have never seen my grandson wipe his plate clean like he did, my DIL was very pleased and my son finished his order as he sampled the other plates too.🤣 My wife and I just bought a new home at WaterCrest on lake Conroe a year ago and did not find this little jewel eating place until recently. After enjoying our meals plus the delicious cheese cake, we returned to our home with my son and family. We were watching tv for about an hour or so and my son said, “ I’m ready to go back to Weng’s Wok,”I think we found his, his family and our favorite place for dining visits. The wonton soup was exceptional, egg roles very good, service especially the male waiter was beyond great. Five star...
Read moreSo I’m someone that’ll leave a review if I was really impressed or really dissatisfied. Unfortunately, this restaurant fell short in all areas. My first experience ordering from them was a few weeks ago I tried out something from their lunch special along with some panned dumplings. I was shocked and disappointed at how small the portion size of the food was for the price I paid. They literally gave me a handful of rice and a few pieces of meat. The dumplings were… average. Overall the taste was decent for their fried rice. Fast forward to tonight I decided to give them another try and order something for dinner. So I opted for the teriyaki chicken and fried rice. Please look at the pictures I posted and tell me … wth is this. I was given (yet again) a handful of food. The chicken was a few pieces of dried and chopped chicken breast with a drizzle of teriyaki sauce over it. Not what I expected. They filled the bottom of the bowl with it up onions. It was more onions than chicken! The rice portion wasn’t “terrible”. I actually think the rice overall taste good considering it’s literally plain with no type of meat or vegetables in it. They also gave no option to add any protein to the rice. Needless to say …. This was THEE LAST time this restaurant play in my face and waste my money. I will NEVER, EVER order...
