Pros: Server is very patient, attentive, and friendly. I have a 4 month old baby whom I breastfeed and we were first seated at the booth, but the server offered a folding chair so that I could breastfeed comfortably. Our baby was fussy and loud, but they were kindly patient enough as we ordered and checked the menu.
Cons: Food is not great. It is also very overpriced. The portion sizes smaller than a size that the typical colombian restaurant would have served. 1.) The grilled chicken breast was undercooked, showing pinks here and there. The grilled chicken is also very wet, juicy, and squishy. 2.)The carne my brother ordered was also undercooked, felt a little raw to him. Sadly, I only took photos of my chicken. 3.) There is a beard hair on my chicken. 4.) The staff were distracted by the soccer match on TV, and took a little longer than they should’ve, given that they didn’t properly cook the meats well. 5.) We saw cockroaches roaming around towards the bathroom area. 6.) My bf got an arepa combo but it was like a bite sized candy portion for a lot of $.
I do not recommend this place to anyone, especially those new in the area and traveling. We chose this place because we visited the aquarium and this happened to be close by… Choose another colombian place!! I attached photos...
Read moreWhat a huge let down; I had high hopes for this place based on the 4.5 stars I saw it had on Google.
I’ll start with the good: our server was very kind and polite The rice and beans were good The chicharron was good
The bad: $8 for 5 mini empanadas that all together would make 2 empanadas at any other Colombian restaurant. $8 is highway robbery and they weren’t tasty at all (see picture of the empanadas). $2+ for one cheese stick with guava the size of my thumb and not good at all. $2.75 for a pandebono less than half the size of my palm also highway robbery. The think steak that came with the bandeja paisa dish was the blandest and toughest piece of thin steak I’ve ever had at my life. The chorizo was too fatty and seemed undercooked.
I in good heart cannot recommend this place to anyone. Go to Trigos or Las Delicias de la Abuela instead and you will experience quality Colombian food at a better price and...
Read moreThis place a disaster of a restaurant. Very bad quality Colombian food and overpriced at that. The restaurant has no A/C. It was easily 85 degrees inside and uncomfortably hot. Nothing more miserable than trying to eat hot food in a hot box. The food took almost an hour to get. Everything on the plate was overcooked and dry. The steak was cardboard, the arepa was cardboard. They were out of beans, out of pandebonos and other items. The empanadas were NOT Colombian and they were dry on the outside and slimy inside. Every negative review is 100% true. We will absolutely never come back. How they maintain above 4 stars is a complete mystery. Maybe people have no idea what good Colombian food should taste like. Want good Colombian, go to Las Delicious de Abuela in Duluth. That place...
