Bon Appetit Grill — Restaurant in Oak Ridge

I walked into this establishment and everything on display looked beautiful and tasty …. But the customer service was beyond horrible . I was attempting to ask questions about the food and the woman who was “helping” me literally would not respond to me. I’m not sure if there was THAT much of a language barrier… I would assume she knew basic English but it was as though she just didn’t want to speak. When I finally chose the pork stew and spinach she literally put 2… TWO pieces of pork and 1 spoon of gravy in a small dish separately from my rice . I kept asking her to put the meat and veggies in the same plate and she ignored me … it was sickening how rude she was . The boy upfront literally watched her disrespect me and laughed and walked to the back. I immediately turned around and walked out that door . That was the WORST experience I ever had and I’m glad I didn’t spend a dime in that restaurant. I was shocked… how do you run a business and treat customers so poorly? I have never felt so disrespected at a restaurant before. I am visiting the city and always visited them to get Haitian Food. There can be a wait time, but this was FAR beyond the normality. I placed my order and several items were incorrect. One item (rice) was completely left off of my ticket. The 3 girls up front thought my sister and I were “Americans” and didn’t think to tell us that they were out of the particular rice we wanted. We waited for over 40 MINUTES. They didn’t tell us this until the end, when a bystander mentioned it to us. They were just going let us wait there even longer! And when I still requested the rice for my time, the one girl up front said I still had to pay for! She turned up her nose at us when we said we still expected them to provide us with the rice, because we waited for so long. That was it for me. The woman that take your order are EXTREMELY RUDE! Customer service is not a factor for this business and it pisses me off because I'm spending my money here. Also the hotline is right in front of you but you have a wait so long for someone just to pour the food in the plate, it makes no sense. They move so slow it drives me crazy because you could be in and out quickly but it's takes 20min just to pour the food that's already made and in front of you. Also they don't warn you but if you pay with a card there's an upgrade which is insane because who carries cash. The food is good but sometimes they will try and cheat you and not tell you there's no plantains so you have to watch them as they slowly pour the food. The prices are decent and the place is pretty clean and that's the only reason I come back.
