I came here with my mom for breakfast on a Sunday recently. We were the first customers there and had to wait 10 minutes after opening time for the restaurant to be ready for us. Since we already had our minds made up on eating here, we waited.

We were hoping to have freshly baked breads with our breakfast, but were informed they wouldn’t be ready for another hour. Initially, we were a little disappointed, but decided we would take our time eating breakfast to have bread as a treat afterwards.

Our breakfasts were delicious and the portions were of good size. The person who took our order didn’t seem super familiar with each menu item, but was able to provide what we asked for. Not knowing the contents of each menu item is understandable, since the restaurant is still new.

When the freshly baked breads were ready, we were notified and were able to order some to try before we left that day.

To me, all the food we ate tasted authentic and delicious. We had huevos pericos, chicharrón, arepa con queso and the freshly baked pan de bono. The coffee could have been a little stronger, but that may be a personal preference.

The food deserves 5 stars.

The service is great, but could use a little improvement. The timeliness of opening the restaurant and checking to see if customers need a refill on anything is what was lacking.

They seem to have live music on the weekends in the evenings and in the morning there was music being played over the speakers which may have been a little loud for breakfast. Again, not a huge deal, just a bit loud for 8am before coffee :)

Go support this local business and try some delicious Colombian food.

Colombians come from different regions of the country where seasonings are used differently.

That being said, for those that do come out to try the food, remember, everyone seasons their food a little differently! And if you make it better at home,...

As a Colombian in houston, our options here Northside are limited. When I heard this place was opening, I was ecstatic. I went to try it out. My girlfriend and I had 2 empanadas de Carne and 2 empanadas de Pollo. The Carne ones were okay, but the chicken was honestly disgusting. I never complain about food, but they were just bad.

Anyway. Over to the main dish. I had a Bandeja paisa. The chicharron was obviously old. It was fried and left to sit with the oil and was mushy and soggy. The chorizo was extremely dry. Rice beans, arepa, and avocado were okay. I didn't eat the egg because I didn't really trust them with it. My girlfriend had the breaded chicken with cheese and ham in white sauce. I've had this plate in many places and suggested it to her. Worst desicion ever. Breaded chicken was dry. They slap on a slice of ham and a 1/4" thick slice of cheese. Not even melted. (The original platter has the cheese melted). And the white sauce is basically hot milk (which should be almost like an alfredo). The sauce/milk was the only thing that made the chicken moist, and it was just nasty. Oh, and it also has mushrooms, but that's never mentioned in the platter, and the original platter doesn't come with mushrooms.

Moving on to drinks, we had two mojitos, which were actually good.

So, overall. She didn't finish her plate, I took mine to go and ended up throwing it out at the gas station next door.

If you're the type to spend 70$ on two mojitos and sh*t food, then look no further. But if you want a better taste of Colombia's amazing food, I recommend La Olla, which is also in Spring. So glad I didn't take the trip out to...

I’ve been so in love with Columbian food since I had it the first time here in Houston. I’ve tried many locations and this is by far, my most favorite… the portions are so huge!!! I actually have to take a container half full that’s how much I had leftover.. they brought it to me in a whole lunch tray almost. šŸ˜…

No seriously! This is by hands the best flavor, best service and I can’t wait to come back!

I highly recommend the Super Bandeja Gran Columbia platter! It had steak, pork chop, chicken, egg, avocado, rice, beans, platano and of course chicharrón! I’m sad I couldn’t finish it but it’s dinner for later. I tore this plate up as much as I could.

Don’t let the picture ruin it for you. I’m awful at taking pictures. The flavor is spot on! I dare you to try it and get back to me on the punch of flavor you just...

Absolutely loved our visit to Gran Colombia! The service was fantastic — the staff was super friendly, welcoming, and attentive from start to finish. You really feel the warmth here! The bandeja paisa is chef’s kiss — flavorful, filling, and authentic. If you’re hungry, that’s the way to go. I also tried the chicken breast with mushroom sauce — creamy, tender, and just straight-up delicious. Don’t skip the pandebono — soft, cheesy, and fresh out of the oven. A total must. And the natural mango juice? Freshly prepared when you order it — seriously, doesn’t get any better!🄭✨ Bonus points: they host karaoke nights on Fridays and cocktail nights on Saturdays, so it’s the perfect spot to eat, vibe, and have fun with friends or family. šŸŽ¤šŸ¹ Definitely a hidden gem in Spring. We’ll be back for more!

Went here with my girlfriend so she could try Colombian food for the first time and I was extremely disappointed. First we ordered a empanada de pollo and it took 15 minutes for it to come out and it looked nothing like a empanada it was burnt and poorly made. Once the food came out it looked good but was terrible I got a bandeja paisa and it tasted 3 days old. And the service was really bad. Once we arrived we were greeted but after we sat down the waiter never came by and only came to bring food and for the check and they still had the audacity to ask for tip. I am extremely disappointed and embarrassed because now my girlfriend thinks all Colombian food is that bad. Ended up giving the whole plate to my dogs and even then I felt bad. 0/10 never come here unless you want bad food 😊
