Updated: came back today, a year later. To be clear, this is the Gosling/2920 location. The Gleannloch location is rockstar good, just 10 minutes further away.
Food is good, as always. The problem continues to be service with takeout.
Gabby (Destiny) was beyond rude. I'm not even going into detail here. She was just intentionally rude.
I reviewed this place a couple years ago, after similar service. This isn't about the kids working there, it has to be the management.
Original review:
We've been a dozen or more times since opening -- has been the go-to for meeting my daughter and her family, a crowd of 7-8 most of the time. Something seems to have happened over the last few months; though the food continues to be good, the service most certainly is not.
1.5 months ago, ordered take-out, got home to find a pizza prepared absolutely wrong. Came back, they gave me the correct pizza, offered me nothing for my trouble in fixing their error.
3 weeks ago, takeout again, this time I checked carefully before leaving, and one pizza was incorrect. Waited 15+ minutes for correct pizza while rest of order got soggy.
This Sunday, takeout again. This time, I simply asked for an additional marinara (as have done in the past). Cashier said she would have to charge me for it -- was sort of the last straw for me, so I told her simply take it off my tip, and that I wanted to speak to a manager. Lots of people showed up (I have no idea who was whom), and at the end, THAT SAME CASHIER simply said, "Here, you can have them, adding sarcastically, "Thanks so much for coming!"
I'm just venting I know (not like anything will change), but this is simply not ok. I'll find...
Read moreI have always heard the Heights location was so good, so I made it a point to try this place twice. Both times were extremely underwhelming. My first visit was shortly after this location opened, and everything was rather forgettable. The garlic knots were probably the high point, but the pizza was meh. The staff was friendly and enthusiastic.
The second visit (today) me and my wife split a salad and a Margherita pizza. We both agreed that the pizza did not taste even relatively fresh. There was no acidity of tomato, no basil taste though it was obviously present. The salad was alright, but the Greek salad had a very "un-Greek" dressing. Also, the location seems to be deteriorating quite a bit. The booth my family sat at had wobbly seats, the seats themselves were messy with soda splatter, some soda options were out of service, and the place was honestly just so empty (especially for a Sunday evening). Honestly, the best thing they had here was the ice (gotta love that small ice) and the staff (though I must say they had so many people working for such a...
Read moreMy wife ate here the first time and had the Hawaiian thin crust pizza. Wow, it was amazing. This is our second visit so we can have an indepth dive into their menu. The outside is welcoming. The patio is covered with tables, chairs, music from the speakers and a play area for the kids to play. Once you walk inside, you immediately feel relaxed from the unique lighting and the modern design. Ordering your food and drinks is simple by walking up to the counter. Now, I will tell you about the food. We ordered the Carl's King double crust pizza, Blackened Chicken Capri and the Crusted Goat Cheese Salad. OMG, when I tell you it was soul movingly good. Believe me. I immediately signed up for the CRUST REWARDS which gives us 1 point for every $1 spent. They also give you 10 bonus points for signing up. Most importantly, the entire Crust Team is AWESOME ! You won't reget the visit. We will return to Crust again...
