Jim's Alibi — Restaurant in Boise

I’m choosing 4 stars based on our experience over the past year. This rating may go up or down depending on if changes are made over the summer.

First, our favorite bartender, Miaja, hasn’t been there at our usual Friday night the past several weeks. She is definitely overworked, so I’m hoping she’ll be back after some much earned R&R. If not, she will be missed!

Second, last weekend we noticed the very nice remodel to the back patio and horseshoes area. But to my disappointment, the women’s bathroom hasn’t had any attention regardless of a water leak in the ceiling that resulted in about 1/3 of the ceiling being removed months ago, which is now rotting joists and open attic that must be a health hazard at this point. THIS will likely result in us not returning for a while if ever if it’s not repaired ASAP. It’s bad enough there only one stall. Anyway if funds can be found for a new patio, surely the women’s bathroom can get a facelift as well!

I’ve been stationed in Idaho for the last 2 years and almost everyday I’ve driven past this bar and always wanted to check it out. I finally decided to check out the place this past weekend, but they happened to be at capacity. The security guard then began to let 1 person in for every 1 person that left, but inconsistently. Finally I was next in line to enter and I was told that they were at capacity and we’d have to wait. So I waited in the cold with about 5 people behind me. Some of those people ended up going around the back and entered the bar from the back just to only walk literally to the front (in front of the security guard) and tell their friends to come around the back where they got wrists bands. Pretty soon it was just me outside looking like an idiot, as cars full of people left. Finally, I called it quits and called an uber after waiting approximately 25 mins in the cold, plus another 13 mins...

Jim's Alibi is a great place to go for a casual drink and a game of pool. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the staff is always willing to help. The bar has a wide selection of beers on tap.

The food at Jim's Alibi is also excellent. They have a full menu of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. I highly recommend the grilled cheese sandwich, which is made with thick slices of bread and melted cheddar cheese.

Overall, Jim's Alibi is a great place to go for a fun night out. The food is delicious, the drinks are cold, and the atmosphere is friendly. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good...
