I Use to go often in 2022. I went just a few weeks ago for Breakfast. I could immediately notice a change. 1st - The music was Reggaeton music one song after another. It was horrible sitting through it for Breakfast. I notice most of the usual waitress were not there. I asked the waitress who was waiting on my table was the place under new ownership? She said Yes. The service for me was not the same. The Reggaeton music was the worst Reggaeton music I've heard. If the Restaurant claims to still be a Dominican Restaurant then the music is one of things that set for a Dominican Ambience. I love all music and would not mind Reggaeton but not when it's all they played for the 1hr and 30 mins or so that I was there. No Merengue, No Bachata, No Salsa. Now for the food. I ordered Mangu and while I know it's not mashed by hand it was dry and lacked it's usual yummy flavor. My over medium egg was more like Over easy and slimy. I also ordered Pancakes. This was the final straw.. These pancakes are like Silver Dollar size which is ok. However, these are the frozen ones, right out the box and they just warm it up in the microwave! Horrible tasting. I was so very disappointed. When I paid my bill, I took a walk over to the prepared food behind the glass as I was thinking of taking some moro with me to go. I could see the moro did not look fresh. It looked dry as if it were the bottom of the Pot. How so, if it was only 10:30am-11ish in the morning? Could it be left over from the previous day? Hmm? All I can say, I will not be going back there at all. I don't trust the freshness or the quality of the food anymore. I don't want to go to a Restaurant and have to pay to eat Pancakes out of a box. If it were McDonalds then different story. I found another Restaurant later that evening, I was extremely happy with. It was a Dominican Restaurant with outstanding service, the food was deelicious and the ambience was perfect!! That will be my new...
Read moreVery unhappy with this experience. To start when I arrived with my huge family my grandma, who btw can't stand for long periods, had to wait to long to get seated which upset me. When seated my grandma had a hard time with her seat since she's older when they had available booths. To order our food we had to wait to the point that we had to ask to be served. When served the food we then had to wait for 1 plate at a time to be served with 5 min gaps in between and we also didn't get our cutlery until the we complained. After we finished our meals (11 heads btw) we had to basically chase the server down and she argued with us when we asked why we were waiting so long for the check. So we split this 3 ways and as we paid we realized that a 20% tip was already applied the total.... yo im from NY and I'm dominican so I know what the food I'm eating is suppose to taste like. I'm not saying it was bad but I didn't finish more than half my plate. The service was ridiculous as this exprience shows. I'm definitely not going...
Read moreThe food is pretty good, but if you're ordering a la carte be prepared to wait. My family and I visited this restaurant recently; everyone ordered from the steam table. I wanted something off the menu. After waiting for about 20 minutes the server asked the rest of my family if they would like their food, because mine would take a while since it had to be prepared, and there were tables ahead of us. Everyone received their food and finished eating, and mine was no where to be seen. I ended up taking it home. It was over an hour wait. Also, the server was extremely distracted; she tried serving my 1 year old a plate of steaming rice and beans, got my (now) to go order wrong, did not come by often, and forgot to tell someone that the dish they order was not available. If visiting here, I would recommend just sticking to the steam table, since the restaurant was not overly busy and the service...
