Avoid this restaurant! The service here is incredibly arrogant and rude! Around 1 p.m., I drove 40 minutes with a friend specifically to try their food. At the time, the restaurant wasn’t very crowded, but the small space made it feel noisy. There were two empty tables on the left side near the entrance, and I asked to be seated there. The male server agreed, but the female manager refused and insisted we sit in the main dining area. They both walked away and disappeared for a long time—until another customer came in for togo. Only then did they reappear, but they ignored me and attended to the new customer instead.
I asked why no one had brought me menus, the male server pretended not to hear and walked away. Then, the female manager—with a Taiwanese accent—said, "If you’re unhappy, you don’t have to eat here. You have the right to choose a restaurant, and we have the right to choose our customers!"
This was a blatant act of kicking customers out. Absolutely unacceptable behavior!!!
———-Their comments below are nothing but shameless lies! Do they even feel any guilt for twisting the truth?
Let me set the record straight: My dog was always kept in my car. The moment I entered the restaurant, I politely asked if a small dog is allowed inside. After they explained their policy, I completely understood and NEVER brought my dog into the restaurant because honestly, it wasn’t a big deal for me. My dog was perfectly fine waiting in the car.
I then sat down and waited for service, only to be treated horribly in the way I described above. Their behavior was unacceptable, and now they’re trying to distort the facts? PATHETIC!!!
—-updated: Honesty should be the foundation of any business—do not treat your customers as fools. The public is not blind; they can see through your manipulative tactics. Your so-called "video evidence" is nothing but a selectively edited clip showing only what suits your narrative. I was present in your restaurant for at least 12 minutes—if you have nothing to hide, can you answer:1, Was there ever a dog inside; 2, when you explained your animal policy, did I react poorly? The problem arose when, after waiting an unreasonable amount of time, I requested a menu—only to be met with rude, dismissive, and offensive words from you.
There is a cause for every effect. Stop gaslighting customers with your selective evidence! Instead of dedicating your energy to arguing with customers, perhaps you should focus on “providing decent service”. A restaurant that prioritizes “confrontation over hospitality”does not...
Read moreHowdy yall. I am so thrilled to announce a true, authentic dumpling house in Katy! This place opened 2 months ago and I finally get to try it…guess what? IT DELIVERED AND IS FIRE! I mean, I tried many dumpling places and their food is Oh So Amazzzing! Everything that I tried was good. The noodle soup was flavorful with rich, tasty broth to the tender beef medallions to the perfectly cooked noodles! The cucumber peanut salad was refreshing and balances all the other foods in- between. I love the chili dumpling soup. The soup is red, but it does not burn your mouth to where you need a fire extinguisher. It was also great that they didn’t have star anise or peppercorn to numb your palate. The pan fried dumpling has a nice exterior texture, while the inside was seasoned really well. The ultimate star is their soup dumplings…that dish was what I really wanted to try and came here for. The size was generously big, which many think that would make the skin too thick. Well, they must have perfected the technique because it was almost paper thin, but didn’t break. The gelatinous soupy broth and the meat was very filling and tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive, the speed of the meals came out quite quickly and the restaurant was clean and cute. If you are on South Mason, please come check them out and support…till we meet again....
Read moreLoves Dumpling House in Katy is an absolute gem that has quickly become a favorite.😍 As someone from Northeast China, where dumplings are a culinary staple, I can confidently say that this place excels in delivering authentic and perfectly crafted dumplings. The handmade dumplings are a standout, with the skin being thin yet robust enough to hold a generous amount of fresh, flavorful fillings. I tried the vegetable steamed dumplings, and the freshness and texture of the vegetables inside were impeccable, making each bite a delightful experience. The variety here is impressive—you can have your dumplings pan-fried, steamed, boiled, or prepared in nearly any way you can imagine. Beyond dumplings, their appetizer selection is equally impressive. The Chinese seaweed salad was a refreshing companion to the dumplings, and the fried chicken wings were a hit with both the kids and myself, boasting a crispy exterior and juicy interior. The salted egg yolk fish fillet was another highlight, cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Overall, Loves Dumpling House is easily one of the best dumpling spots in Katy. The availability of frozen dumplings to take home is a fantastic bonus, ensuring you can enjoy their delicious offerings anytime. Highly recommended, and I will definitely...
