Nick's Taverna — Restaurant in Brambleton

Nick's Taverna is hands down one of my favorite spots in Ashburn! I popped in for dinner the other night and was seriously impressed with everything we tried. It has a laid-back vibe, perfect for a casual night out with friends or family, and the food is top-notch. If you're into Mediterranean flavors, this place is a must-visit.

We started with the Greek Salad, and it was super fresh and flavorful. The mix of crunchy romaine, juicy tomatoes, and kalamata olives was on point, but the feta cheese totally stole the show. Plus, the Greek dressing tied it all together perfectly. It was the kind of salad where every bite has something tasty going on. Definitely not your boring side salad.

Then came the falafel, and wow. These chickpea fritters were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside—just the way falafel should be! The combo of the falafel with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and that tangy tahini sauce was so satisfying. It was light but still packed with flavor, and the torshi (pickled veggies) added a nice punch.

For the main course, I went with the Beef Shawarma, and it was just fantastic. The beef was super tender and char-grilled to perfection. With all the fresh veggies and that creamy tahini sauce, it hit all the right notes. I could seriously eat this every week. Wonderful restaurant! I love that they seat you quickly and immediately bring out some authentic hummus and pita chips prior to ordering. They treat you like family here and the food is both delicious and authentic. The pita chips are very unique... nothing you can buy anywhere. I LOVE the saganaki hot appetizer... it's fried cheese fresh from the skillet with some lemon juice and it's crazy delicious... so it's a MUST TRY for cheese lovers. The Meze Appetizer Sampler is a good starter too if you like the variety like we do! Also try their gyros and mixed grill if you love sampling different meats. Squeeze some fresh lime and lemon on the meats and/or try it with their yogurt and tzatziki sauces and you will be very happy. My husband ordered the Mediterranean Sampler which was also delicious. Brought family in from Richmond here when they came to visit and they loved it as well!! My brother-in-law let me try some of the Pastitsio and it was great especially if you love lasagna like I do...Evi the owner is very sweet... great experience overall and we will continue...
