So! Our family have been to pounders twice this week. I am going to list the good and the.. things that can improve :) Good: Quick service Friendly faces Easy placing order Food is good for the price Things that can improve: 1. First time we went, the food was AMAZING! The rice had sweet and buttery feel to it in the mouth. However the mac salad was abit on the dry side ( the mix seemed more pasty ) 2. The second time ( tonight ) the rice had sweet chili sauce on it ( last time didn’t have it ) so I was bummed I had to pick through to share it with my 2yo son. The Mac salad tonight texture was perfect! Seemed to be more fresh. HOWEVER, I had tons of liquid on the bottom of my container.. which made the Mac salad and some of my rice super soggy. 3. The taste for the kalua pig were different each time. First time it tasted really flavorful, but tonight it was soooo salty. I couldn’t eat 1/2 of the serving. So I was wondering if this batch accidentally got extra salt on it? Overall: Pounders has been a good experience for us. My husband said the garlic chicken tasted like back home on the island, so we might come back someday again. To be honest I really don’t know if my food next time will be somewhat different again?

02/11/23 Update on yesterday's meal, I hate writing bad reviews- but I have no choice but to let others know. I spend enough money in this place to have inconsistent food. My husband and I got so sick last night from their food. The food was ordered well done-however- it was not delivered that way when I got home. The chicken was a bit under cooked and there was still fat on the chicken. The beef was undercooked medium rare! My husband and I have diarrhea, - I got so sick all nigh my from vomiting. Unfortunately, this was the last straw for us. $40 for an uncooked meal and getting sick from a new establishment- is a terrible way to start your business. Perhaps - if the owners will get in the grill themselves - and not oversee the major issues, having under cooked food served to customers. I would like my money back, and hopefully I won’t end up at the hospital- because I will be sending them a bill for that.

06/01/23 First and foremost, let me address the falsehoods that this owner spreads. I only left two reviews, one on Facebook and one on Google, not five as you claim, and yes, I am a real person, not a robot. I was never contacted, and if you did, I never received a phone call. Furthermore, I want the community to understand how a restaurant evolved from offering wonderful cuisine to practically uncooked food. It's not just me; practically everyone I spoke with said the same thing about both sites, not just Crestview. If you hire teens and fail to discuss the importance of undercooked food, you have a serious problem. I don't anticipate to receive a refund, which is fine. You are free to keep...

Food We placed our order at the counter, and since it was my first time visiting a fast-food Hawaiian restaurant, I asked several questions beforehand. The cashier was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, ingredients, and food preparations. I decided on a small portion of shredded cabbage, sautéed vegetables, and teriyaki chicken, while my husband chose the regular portion of teriyaki steak with white rice. To finish our meal, we opted to try two Royal Hawaiian cookies. The total cost for our meals, including drinks and a cookie each, came to $39.56, which is a reasonable price for a couple. Our food arrived hot and fresh within minutes, and we were very pleased with the seasoning of our selected meats. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed the raw shredded cabbage more than the sautéed vegetables. I had enough left to take home and enjoy later that evening. My husband devoured both cookies while I stepped away to the restroom, so I grabbed a few more to take home with us. They provided a delightful finish to our meal.

Service All employees demonstrated proficiency in their roles and provided prompt service with a smile.

Atmosphere The dining room was clean and well-equipped with essential napkins, straws, lids, and condiments to enhance the dining experience. The outdoor play area made it an ideal choice for families with kids looking to expend some energy. The restrooms were immaculately clean, spacious, and easily accessible for anyone with small children or...

This used to be my favorite place to eat.. once a week or so I would eat here ever since they opened and it used to be fantastic but the past 6 months or so it has really fallen off, the mac salad especially.. everything isn't bad but definitely not up to par anymore.. it doesn't taste the same as it used to.. I tried to order periodically to see if maybe it was a fluke or change in staff but it seems not.. sadly, I think today is the last time I will order from here because it just gets more and more disappointing.. I will say price is good for the potions sizes though

*Edit on response to the reply, the mac salad is never consistent.. it has been VERY bitter on some occasions and lately very bland, tasting only of mayonnaise.. the rice is pretty consistent and the meat is usually good, however, I can make all of this at home as it stands now and I dont want to spend my money on something I can simply make at home myself.. before the food way spectacular and I couldn't even mimic it at home but I'm not sure what is happening now with it.. maybe some sauces or ingredients aren't available anymore due to the pandemic shortages is my guess but it definitely tastes nothing like it used to, unfortunately it is disappointing now.. even my sister who used to drive down from Alabama just to get some has since stopped going as well because it just isn't up...
