Worse experience EVER!! I'll just get the good out right now, and that was our server Ray. On to the worse dining experience!!!! We show up for lunch at approximately 11:20am, only to be met by nobody, so we proceeded to seat OURSELVES in the bar area. Short time later a manager came to our table (later identified as the GM) and told us that our 4yr old child wasn't allowed to dine in the bar area because corporate policy states nobody under 21 allowed in bar area. So as she forced us to move and lead us to the the dining room, she very rudely slapped the sign stating nobody under 21 allowed. I immediately felt like she embarrassed me because I was more worried about feeding the kid then reading signs on the wall so I got pissed and quite frankly should have left then but didn't. Anyway, so the GM sits us in a section knowing damn well no server was even in the building yet to serve us, but never once offered to get us drinks started while we wait so we sat parched until our server Ray arrived at work. After FINALLY placing a drink order and upon delivery the drinks fell off the tray, which prolonged getting drinks even longer. Drinks arrive and we order food. Never got the broccoli we ordered, got fries when we ordered onion rings, took the onion rings a long time to come out. I might not ever dine at a Red Robin again. I've been in the restaurant business going on 15yrs and this experience blew my mind. The table next to us had an even worse experience. The only time we spoke with a manager (Just happened to be the GM) is when she was moving and belittling us all at the same time. Never again will we dine with Jennifer Dallas and her confused staff. I'll make sure this spreads to all my industry friends. You might make fun of other people, but not me and my family. Im Ashamed you run a restaurant you...
Read moreWe have always loved Red Robin as a family. The many food choices for a family of 5 is always an important issue. But if this was our first experience, we'd NEVER go back! Place was deserted as there were maybe 3 other familes throughout the restaurant. Seated at a table with a pile of what looked like a spilled plate upon entering huge booth, was gross. We were the only one in our server's station so it's not like he was overwhelmed. As I was asking about a menu item, he interrupted me because apparently he knew what I wanted. When he came back with a can, I explained the menu item looked like a specific menu item (that contained alcohol BUT not out of a can). I then ordered another favorite SAND IN YOUR SHORTS. This time the bartender came to the table & explained the server took the drink, before an ingredient had been added, along with garnish. Not a noticeable bug deal - I promise I'm not that picky.... I had already drank it & still thought it was DELICIOUS! Just using that to explain server's lack of awareness.... I had been served (almost) 2 drinks & my husband still hadn't recieved his soda. Odd. My son & I ordered a chicken burger, with a handful of substitutions: avocado vs guacamole & switched cheese options.... nothing crazy. We ate them as was served because it was a luxury vs necessity to substitute to a preferred cheese. Anyway... in today's worrisome time, there are many bigger issues. However, as a family of 5 our dinnertime together is limited & it was an expensive disappointing dinner night out. With people picking & choosing when & where they go to eat.... Management may want to retrain him to ensure any experience makes RED ROBIN their family choice vs anything else out there, especially when...
Read moreHad dinner at that location about 2 hours ago. We arrived a bit early to save our table for 6 more guests. We get one server starting us with drinks and she lets us know that someone else will be taking care of us. About 15mins go by before we see our server again. Keep in mind today is the chillest night and it's practically empty. The waitress personality comes off as "whatever" as if she is done for the night. I try to make her life a bit easier so I write down 3 of the orders on a sticky so when she comes she has that ready to go. She finishes with the orders and we ask her if we can have the staff acknowledge my fathers birthday she says sure and leaves; another 15-20mins without seeing her and a male waiter is filling our cups and has our appitizers at the table. So now we have 2 waiters? Where's the other female waitress? I see her walking around and everyone seems to be avoiding our table. We weren't being disruptive during our visit. the male server drops off our food and 2 of the orders are wrong. They take the food back and now my parents wait 15mins to get their burgers. Once again today was pretty much a ghost town. By this time everyone has eaten and my parents barely get their meal. The waitress isnt around and the male waiter is doing his best to take care of us. By the end of the meal no birthday announcement for my dad and they had charged us for 2 of the burgers that were wrong. We got this corrected at the end. I've been to this location before and have never gotten this bad service. I hope next time it goes better but I will be dining at the Tempe Market place...
