I usually don’t write Yelp reviews, but after my lunch around 12:30 PM today with some friends, I felt like I needed to share our frustration. We waited 30 minutes for our first round of drinks, our appetizers hitting the tables first and a huge 60-minute wait for the second round. It seems the bartender was very behind or our server simply did not place the order as when she checked on us during our entrees we informed her we were still waiting on our drinks and she seemed dumbfounded. Our meals were complete and still no drinks in site to which she came around and told us the bartender had just started on them, but at this point we were ready to leave. She stated the second round would be on the house – yet it still showed up on our bill. Even worse, there was an 18% automatic gratuity added without any heads-up, even though our party was only four adults (plus one baby), and their own menu clearly says auto-grat only kicks in for six or more people. She said it was “part of the Cinco de Mayo” day they had going on, but once again no notice of an auto-gratuity prior to sitting or ordering. The drinks finally arrived just as we were packing up to leave, so we had no use for them anymore. They even offered to put them in to-go cups, which was really not okay (illegal to drive around with open containers, and especially scary with a baby in the car). We said no multiple times to which the second server insisted and left the drinks on our table, our server tried to lighten the mood and failed by stating “she can be really convincing”. My friend took the drinks as to appease the clearly annoyed server but tossed it out once we stepped out. The tacos and quesadillas themselves were fine, but honestly the incredibly slow service and billing nonsense completely soured our afternoon. In the end, we paid the overcharged bill and quietly left without further hassle, just frustrated that resolving a simple mistake took longer than our entire meal. It would seem logical for a restaurant knowing they would be busy today to be properly staffed, but clearly it was our mistake for spending our time...

So where do I begin, hubby and I decided to try a new spot for a change but this place definitely assured us we should just stick to the places we already know taste good. We went Saturday night and ordered refreshments for us and the kids. I ordered a margarita and two “fresh lemonades” for my kids and hubby just ordered a soda. The lemonades had nothing fresh about them they tasted like limeade juice with water, super sour no flavor whatsoever that my kids couldn’t drink them and neither could we, asked for soda and oj and those were okay. My margarita was the same!! Sour limeade flavor nothing like what a margarita would taste like. We ordered homemade guacamole with chips to eat first and what we got let me tell you was cilantro with a side of guac (see pics). Almost all of our food was cilantro with a side of something, I love cilantro but they didn’t even attempt to cut it into pieces, stems and all. Then we ordered steak street style tacos and I HAD NO IDEA I NEEDED TO TELL THEM at what temp I wanted my meat cooked, had I known I would’ve told them well done because I HATE RARE MEAT. When the tacos came again it was cilantro with a side of steak tacos (see pics). I didn’t even eat the tacos because they were disgusting, I forced my husband to eat them because I already felt bad for the waiter and cooks and I didn’t want to complain about it to them. Oh and not to mention we paid over $80 for all this food and drinks we did not like and not to mention they also still charged me $10 for the two “fresh lemonades” we couldn’t even drink because of how sour they were. It was just overall such a bad taste experience. They really need to work on their menu. The best part of our meal were the chips and chicken tenders my kid has because come on who ever messes up those? First and last time we ever go...

We came here for the first time since we were celebrating 2 birthdays. First off when we tried ordering the family meal that is on the menu they refused to make that happen claiming that those are old menus and they don’t make that anymore. Huge bummer and when we asked why it’s there they gave the lame response that they haven’t reprinted the menus. The waitress was always missing and somehow she put an order for only one side of the table but not the other so a group of us were just watching the others eat while we barely had even drink refilled. When it came to our side ordering I ordered these Tostones that have meat inside thinking this will be filling based off what is on the pictures. When the food for our side of the table arives I look at the plate and see that it is underwhelmingly small. This would not fill a grown man. I tell the another waitress who passed by since we couldn’t get a hold of our own. Look please take this back I am not going to eat that, told her the reason why and told her if she could please replace this with a quesadilla. She takes it to the back and then our waitress comes back with the tostones I had first ordered and said we cannot take this back once it’s been made. I expressed my reasons why, this looks way smaller than the picture and I was not going to be paying $17 for a plate that wouldn’t be filling. A third person then comes back with the plate SAYING DONT WORRY TAKE THE PLATE WE WON’T CHARGE FOR IT. WE CANNOT TAKE IT BACK THERE. So they left the plate. When it’s time to pay they never took that off the tab and charged it. Had to pay for something I returned 3 times. THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE! No manager would treat people like this at another establishment. Literally ridiculous of them! If I could give them no...

I heard great things about Tacos & Tattoos from people and decided to finally head over and try it out on a Sunday afternoon. I arrived around 3:15 pm and was seated immediately by the host. After a brief wait, a server brought me chips and salsa, welcomed me and took my order promptly afterwards. Chips & Salsa - amazing! So I have had chips and salsa many times in many places around the globe during my travels. The chips here are seasoned and the salsa has just enough heat to let you know it’s not your average pico de gallo tomato concoction. Yum! Tacos - yummy! I ordered two tacos to start. One pork belly and one chicken on a corn tortilla. I had the pork belly taco first and it was delicious. The sauce was perfectly complimentary and added a sweet balance. The chicken taco was equally good. Drinks - Ok, but be warned. For the drinkers, you will have a pretty good selection of beer on tap and also typical bar offerings. They have a rotating beer menu as well. But, for those who enjoy non-alcoholic beverages be warned! I had an Arnold Palmer and when I asked for a refill, I was told there are none. I was taken back a bit since they charge a whopping $4 for a single, normal-sized glass! For this alone, I must take off 1 star and it actually discouraged me from ordering more food. Overall it was a good stop and I will come back again for the food (with free water instead of a $4 tea/lemonade drink with no refills).

A very high-end, Americanized version of Mexican food. There’s higher pricing for the small size portions that they serve, but the quality of the food is good. Service and attention to detail was great, I didn’t wait too long for the food to come out. Food quality was delicious and the food came out hot. I went for the “Taco Tuesday” special (this only applied for the taco orders). Kick’n Cheese ($11) A great option to share within a group. Delicious flavor of cheese dip, and the chips were lightly salted and had a great crunchy texture. Queso Frito Bites ($8) One of my favorite items from the menu, I highly recommend! The cheese has a crunchy and tasty outer layer that has been cooked and dipped in a light mixture of sweet honey, very tasty! Every bite was flavorful, almost ordered another one! Sautéed Mushrooms (taco) Delicious menu item! The mushrooms were infused with tasty flavors. It had onions, cheese crumbs, and cilantro sprinkled on it. Jerk Chicken (taco) I loved this order, there was a crunchy texture to the chicken and the flavor was amazing. There was white sauce and cheese crumbs sprinkled on top of it as well as cilantro. Carnitas (taco) Great combination of flavor! A classic menu item to order and try out. The meat had a very good touch of flavor mixed with cilantro, cheese crumbs, and white sauce.
