I’m geeking out. The Three Broomsticks awed me. The attention to detail was fantastic. From the Sirius Black wanted poster posted out front, to the dining room high ceilings and hidden upper levels, and the food. Luved it. TLDR… here it comes… The food. I ate here twice, for breakfast and for dinner. I had an English breakfast complete with an English sausage, American bacon, scrambled eggs, croissant, blood pudding, baked beans, sautéed mushrooms, sliced potatoes, and tomato slice. Yum! The bacon is cooked on the medium side. The eggs had an overwhelming powerful butter flavor. The beans have a slight sweet tanginess. I’m not sure if those had HFCS like most food and drinks at Universal has. The tomato is topped with fine breadcrumbs and broiled a bit. It is a lot of food. The cool thing for folks that need a visual. They have actual plates of the dishes set up in a glass display for viewing. The displayed food is real, not plastic recreations. The display is along the wall of the queue. Which the queue begins from the front entrance and heads to the left. Folks that come up n from the back patio or from Hog’s Head pub are funneled into the ordering food pickup area. Sorry but if you’re ordering food and it’s a full queue, you’ll have to go back around to get in line. For dinner I had the rib plate. Messy, sauced up pork ribs. They seemed baked because the texture was pull apart tender. I scraped and wiped off most of the sauce and praying that it didn’t contain HFCS. The sauce had a sweet flavor. I ate them and was ok, but never did confirmation. Universal unlike Disneyland doesn’t have ingredient info posted, if they do, staff that I asked are unaware. They had a bunch of cute desserts offered at dinner time. But I passed on those because of the possibility of HFCS. Anyways, like I mentioned in all my other reviews for UH, even if you don’t eat here, please still go inside to geek out over the design details. Look up at the ceiling, it’s quite impressive. Take a look at the big open fireplace. Look at the wall postings. Take a peek at the adjoining Hog’s Head pub. Soak it all in. Plus if you need a place to rest, come on in. You won’t be kicked out of you don’t order food. Plus there is a back patio area.

We ordered the fish & chips, holiday turkey meal, frozen butter beer and lager beer. Lines from cashier to food pick up was quick. The table seaters, on the other hand, sucked. There was one staff member manning the line. Another staff member comes by and announced that the dining area was full and will take 10-15 mins wait for a table to free up. Some folks behind us shouted he has a party of 2 and the staff member showed him to his table right away. We shouted hey, we’ve been waiting here and also party of 2, we straight up told him and his staff sucked. He then hurriedly showed us to our table as well. Then I looked around there were 4 empty party of 2 tables. Why would you announce that we are full when you have tables available? Maybe for party of 3 and more? Please be more attentive and ask parties in line how many they have before you assume we are part of some group. There was a party of 3 in front of us, the guy never asked how many did our party have? Their incompetence ruined our moods. After we sat, we notice the spacing of tables were so close, I can reach over and touch the table next to us. Some lady ran in between the tiny aisle and knocked my arm over while I was eating. I feel like I was in a zoo. What’s the rush lady?!!Maybe they should space tables apart by 1-2 ft. We were so close to other people that we were forced to overhear peoples’ conversations. Overall I enjoyed the interior decor but we would probably sit outside next time. Food prices were well priced, $16-19. Butter beer was $8, will probably skip the next time around. It was too sweet for my palate (tasted like caramel slushy) Lager was $16! Not worth the price and wasn’t even that great. I will only come back again for their fish & chips. Turkey dish with their side of Brussels sprouts were heavily salted, luckily there were carrots and cranberry sauce to offset the saltiness.
